edit: this 'review' doesnt really have a reason to exist anymore as the person who it was aimed at has since apologized and explained themselves. but im still leaving this up as i think its still a little relevant.
imagine being like 10 and releasing your new game and all the reviews are by people who have been in the community since forever saying shit like “this is depressing”. there’s a reason why there’s not many new makers nowadays, it’s because whenever one shows up we insult them until they leave. maybe next time just say what’s shit about the game and leave it at that.
the fact that this community literally has a history of personally insulting people over fucking fangames, small freeware games made for fun, says enough honestly.

Very cool beginner friendly fangame, especially useful for those that are interested in abducted, but aren't good enough for it just yet. Personally I'd say its a little better designed than abducted, but I do almost wish it was just a little harder, maybe around the high 30s to low 40s range. Its still cool as it is though, and I would recommend trying it even if easy fangames are boring to you.

Review based on everything done in normal mode, I will update it if I do bifficult one day.
Before everything, I want to apologize to Piece. He probably doesn't remember (and didn't carred at all) but I'm sorry that I indirectly said that c2 was the most disrespectful game ever made, just because he didn't get the right from every authors. It seems pointless to apologize now because it happened many months ago, but I felt a bit guilty and never found a good way to directly do it because of my social anxiety (for some reasons, I always tend to think that people will get angry over me whatever I do).
That said, even if everything has probably been said I guess I'm gonna give my opinion.
c2 is one of the biggest game I have played (around 59h to unlock bifficult) and also one of the hardest. There are 5 regular stages with a boss in each one, some guest stages, a final boss, an extra stage, some challenges and a boss rush. Production is also quite high, with a beautiful hub and many customisation options. Here my (quick) opinion of everything:
Regular stages are cool regarding the plateforming, and even if I was less a fan of screen pick of stage 5 and that a few screen choices aren't the best imo (for exemple, why that particular screen of Diverse (the first one) where the late game is much better), is was mostly fun with a nice difficulty curve. About the bosses it's more a mix bag.
Boss 1 is one of my favorite, not too hard with good attacks, it's a good introduction to what will be the bosses in this game but in the easier side. Boss 2 is cool too, it felt a bit more random but I liked the bread being the real foe in this fight. I didn't really liked boss 3, it looked like random mess by throwing a lot of memes to you, and it represent c1, which are two thing I don't like. Gameplay was kinda ok, but not that much, overall meh. Boss 4 was the worst and also a huge difficulty spike compared to the previous ones, so huge that boss 5 felt easier. It's also a typical exemple of "random mess is happening" medley boss. The attack themsleves weren't that bad but they felt so disconnected. I personally has a bad time against it. Boss 5 is one of my favorite, it's a hard and learny one but rng felt fair and it was really fun.
Then come stage 6, which are guest stages.
-Klazen: one of the best guest stage, using the time lap gimmick in a good way. It has some puzzle elements but the real hard part is the execution.
-Piece: Decent, it has some variety with each screen using a different gimmick. The detection box of the thwomps is really bad tho.
-Stinkycheese: by far the worst stage, with unpleasant plateforming and a bad exploited gimmick. I personally had zero fun while playing it.
-Kadykunde: Probably the best one, neat gimmicks and nice visuals.
-Wonderful: A good one too, had some unecessary difficult segments but was mostly fun.
-Gaywizard: Again a good one, with a world changing gimmick where you warp between an ice and a fire world, and I thanks him a lot to not have put ice physics in the ice world, it would have make it so tedious.
-Hiddow: Really good visuals for a trigger chase. Sadly the execution is kinda meh, mostly uninteresting plateforming. At least you have a map that indicate you what the last trigger did so you cannot really get lost.
-Sephalos: Not a fan. It wasn't bad but it would have been much better without all the traps, and level design was sometimes not that good.
When you have beaten every guest stages, you can access to demon lord biff, the final boss. A VERY LONG final boss. Featuring 8 phases+a final one, it took me 7h to defeat him. You thankfully get a checkpoint each two phases (otherwise, it would have been just impossible, at least for me). Each phase is made of an avoidance part, then a timed plateforming screen. Sadly, this boss was the least enjoyable for me. It's way too long, the plateforming screens are just a chokefiesta and are super frustrating, and difficulty balanced is totally fucked up with phases 3 and 4 being by far the hardest, and phases 7,8,9 being the easiest. It's of course not a disaster, but I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't again a huge difficulty spike because in the end, I was just happy that it was finally over than happy that I beat him.
The game has also a lot of optional content, one of them being the challenges. Each stage has 2 secrets where you get a key, and each boss drop one too, for a total of 15 keys (so 15 challenges). Challenges can be anything, like needle, an avoidance or a freacking minesweeper. I personally enjoyed all of them except one (the infinite jump one), and the best ones was imo the meltdown avoidance, and of course the minesweeper. I even enjoyed the tear avoidance despite usually disliking most of avoidance.
Doing all of them unlock the charged shot, something only usefull for the boss rush (because you don't have to shot biff), and I highly recommend you to do it because it makes some of the boss much easier.
Talking of the boss rush, it's also something optional and only unlock cosmetic so you don't have to do it if you don't like it. The bosses are from justice, kermit 2, be anything 1 and metamophosis, which are game I never played at this moment so I discovered these bosses with this game, and I enjoyed all of them, especially the kermit one.
There is also an extra stage you need to do to unlock bifficult, and I felt it was the weakest plateforming of the game, with too much unenjoyable screenpicks for me.
I have no interest in doing bifficult, and from what I heard the difficulty goes up to 85 which is much more than what I can do. Maybe one day.
In conclusion, I still don't understand the appeal of medley games because I can't stop thinking that a game with such a great production would have been so amazing with more original content and also think that even if the plateforming is good, they are just screens from other games, but I guess it was a good game.

Basically consists of the same dumb generic jumps over and over again: diagonals, double diamond, invert, super f etc.
Oh yeah, and you can softlock in one of the saves.

"Crimson Needle 2 100 style" implies it's similar to CN2 100, but the similarities end at it being standard needle, and borrowing the visuals.
This game starts out mediocre and only gets worse as it goes. I gave up on some screen probably close to the end. Some screens are one long save, others are 2-4 shorter saves. Difficulty progression feels a bit wonky at times, not that it really matters though.
The damning thing about the design of this game is that a lot of jumps are too precise for their own good, and they're even sprinkled in multiple times through the longer saves. This just makes the longer saves feel annoying because the difficulty comes from one or two jumps that are out of place, rather than feeling satisfying by having longer saves that have roughly similar difficulty jumps that fluctuate slightly but still test your consistency. I genuinely have no idea how the average difficulty is 58 (or how the rating is a 6), I believe some folks didn't even play the same game as me.
Would not recommend.
