A pretty difficult 32px needle game with a heavy focus on smart pathing and common usage of some of the traditional gimmicks such as vines and water.
Alex's strength is definitely in his pathing, making interesting manoeuvres that work well alongside the somewhat complex layouts he has going on. On a couple of occasions it can feel a little overwhelming looking at the screen and figuring out the path, but just going straight into the jumps it feels pretty intuitive and well designed with where you're headed and what you gotta pull off.
As the game is entirely 32px needle, some of the design can feel a little overly precise at times, which I felt came at a detriment to the smart pathing. It's still enjoyable, but it's definitely a needle game where the creativity goes into the layout and pathing as opposed to the actual jumps. There's also a lack of production value in the sense that every screen kind of looks and feels very similar, with the same tileset, music, warp and so on, meaning it just feels like a collection of jtool screens.
It's worth playing if the interesting pathing sounds like your kinda thing, but expect some bumps along the way. The final save in particular has some real doozy jumps that made the experience a bit more clunky that it probably could've been. I had a fun time though.

Leave the Cube is a somewhat short needle game centred around the concept of wrapping around a cube of needle screens, meaning you'll do various screens in different rotations as you scale around and make your way to the end.
It's done pretty well although it feels mostly linear, so there's not too much thought to be had with what route you need to take. There is one segment I went for and saved inside, only to realise I'd dead-ended myself and had to do a downwards-plane to get back, so do exercise some caution and look ahead. The screen transitions are also a little janky, not feeling very smooth in some cases.
It's decently fun, although MLSTRM far improved the concept and made a much more polished version of this as a stage in Destroy the Maelstrom. I thought it was pretty interesting seeing the improvement and development between the two.

100 floor game on the easier side with simple standard needle - vines, platforms, water, jump refreshers. Nothing really stands out or is very memorable, but the game is fun to play and the gameplay flows very well.
