For: RUN! and JUMP! and FUN!
Rating based on the 2.0 download link in the author review at the time of writing. (Oddly, despite beating the game from a fresh file [note: the creator uploaded their save files alongside the game], the rooms in the creator's own uploaded screenshots were never encountered.)
The game is an attempt at a basic adventure, which is appreciated. What this tends to boil down to is rather simplistic corridor needle with added triggers and/or the occasional flying spike trap for spice. Right from the first water-filled screen the terrain funnels you into the corridors you'll be seeing throughout the experience. Honestly, not much of it is anything to write home about, but it's not really all that offensive either, unless you take issue with the classic brown blocks found in every engine since time immemorial.
What is worth mentioning, though, is a softlock. On the screen with the bouncing-according-to-gravity cherries (which, on the record, are actually pretty cool, but I imagine they're a Renex Engine default asset), you'll find the room split in two, partially above water, partially submerged. If you are playing on Medium and take the save in the submerged half of the room, you will be trapped, since the exit requires the trigger in the above water half of the room to be active, which you cannot reach from where you are. This is the only reason my difficulty rating is as high as it is. The rest of the game is probably a low-to-mid 30s, though the last boss may breach that.
The bosses aren't all that exciting, being default bosses from the Renex Engine - i.e. the Floor 10 boss from Celebrate 100, and the infamous Utah Teapot. Even the clear screen that follows is (presumably) completely unaltered from the Renex Engine default. Admittedly, I can't really fault the creator for using so much engine defaults - it's not like the practice is new in any way - but it's still a little disappointing. At least I can say I fought the teapot, though.

Objectively, this is a 4.0.
It has tons of bugs and the level design can be very confusing sometimes.
But it does something not many other fangames do.
It tries to be an actual game.
Not a set of generic spike-filled rooms.
It has an actual ending. it isn't just text saying "u did it" and a picture of some anime chick.
People take IWBTG for granted because it isn't as polished or as difficult as Boshy, Kamilia, or most other fangames.
But these people fail to realize that IWBTG isn't trying to be like Boshy or Kamilia.
It wants to be the guy!

I love this game.
However, some gimmicks are a bit difficult and I remember give up.
still, i would recommend.
