Its very much super meatboy with the kid (no momentum/double jump instead), relying on the constant wall jumps of meatboy and all assets and some levels basically identical to meatboy.
Overall its got some very visible flaws, but its still mostly well done and the platforming plays well regardless. The bosses are a little iffy but are easy enough that its not really a problem.
The late game hits some rough patches as its awkward to do precise stuff with the engine but overall its pretty good. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for some gimmick platforming with lots of wall jumping.
