Игра великолепная в плане геймплея, настоящая метроидвания, однако оценка только 8, потому что некоторые боссы скучноваты (хотя другие интересные), а финальный босс совершенно не эпичный, хотя и нормальный по геймплею. То есть игра безусловно заслуживает своей 8/10, мне очень понравилась, но до более высокой оценки чуть-чуть не хватило.
Мной игра была пройдена за 14 часов.

This games difficulty comes from the squished diagonals in almost every room which is annoying and they are usually in bad locations such as at the end of saves or have more then one in the middle of the room. Also, save 2 doesn't have a save blocker so it makes doing one of the squished diagonals in room 2 much easier.

I seriously went from the beginning to the end of this game without understanding what was going on at all, which should say a lot about a story-driven game (Or a game that looks like it was meant to be story-driven, at least. I don't know). Lots of lazy border kills and weird glitches involving screen transitions make me lean towards believing that not a lot of care was put into designing this. Its structure looks like it wants to invite you to explore the game, but there's nearly nothing to explore, so it ends up being a super bland walk around a bunch of screens that almost look like they should be something. Oh, I forgot to mention, the visuals are pretty irky as well.
There are three endings, the third one is actually somewhat challenging. It's also the only ending with a boss, which, somehow, ended up being the only part of the game that I enjoyed (Though if I died in it a few times, I'd probably hate it as well. Doesn't look like a fight you want to play over and over again). My thoughts might also be biased because it uses the song from one of my favorite avoidances, who knows. At the same time, the song doesn't fit in a shooting boss at all. The attacks are neat, but it has way too much HP.
And finally, nothing fits with anything, so instead of looking like a game, it looks like platforming, musics, visuals, sound effects and a concept joined together with so much duct tape that you can barely find anything besides duct tape in this mess. I was trying to find something else to say, but let's just leave it at "It's bad, disjointed and glitchy".

The FM17 Needle Maker event levels are now a full game!
Please make sure you downloaded v1.02 as there were many balancing and other issues fixed in it.
Marathon Needle 2 has the original 16 levels, and also has a separate game mode that has every level remixed! These levels are harder and are made in the spirit of the original rooms and their creators, basically what the rooms may have looked like if the gamemakers had time to hone their rooms. Each of those remixed rooms has one secret unlock Piece's meme maps.

In Fangame Marathon 2017, four gamemakers: Pieceofcheese87, Wolfiexe, KadyKunde, and AlexTheTroller, took part in a special event called Needle Maker.
These gamemakers were given 30 minutes and two almost-empty rooms with: a start point, an end portal, and a few blocks, to make needle rooms.
Then a twist, after pressing FLIP in their special jtool files, their rooms flipped upside-down and they had 15 minutes to make both of their rooms work flipped!
After adding graphics, music, coding, and making a few tweaks, all of these rooms were made into this game!

One of the best avoidances that i've played. Aesthetics are perfect. Attacks are generic but well used and nicely fit the music.
