Pretty bizarre needle game, it consists of 4 saves, 2 shorter ones and 2 longer ones. The longer ones are where most of the difficulty is and they are quite unbalanced, especially the second one which has almost all of it's difficulty condensed into one really inconsistent jump. There are definitely some cool ideas within this game, but overall the execution of these ideas is a bit questionable and at times mildly annoying. Still it could definitely be a lot worse and I had some fun with it.

interesting adventure game from 2014. usually doesn't set itself apart in too much other than a few design choices and the artstyle - having a somewhat unique take on black and white (for the time, at least). the game often uses this color contrast to conjure more interesting and diverse gameplay ideas, such as in the big kid boss. the game takes inspiration from Lovetrap, as many early games do, but also from other games by directly lifting screens from them (i.e. GB, Destination, HeavenTrap, Device, etc.) these are mainly found in the last stage, leading up to the final boss. in the early screens of this game I also would like to take note of a good use of non-Euclidean room design; where rooms that should loop back into each other actually lead to entirely different rooms. this makes it feel like you're backtracking, which can feel a little confusing. I suppose that's a good thing, as it's not something you often see in fangames
the game is mostly platforming, with only two bosses and a puzzle area which I'll group into the bosses for good measure. the big kid boss is pretty fun and simple, I find it's quite memorable as it's probably gonna be the only thing I'll remember from this game, along with maybe a few traps along the way that I found interesting. the puzzle areas are somewhat cryptic to figure out. the one with the name is most notable as it's the most confusing one. doing seemingly random things appears to make the spikes fly up. one of the things you have to do is press the U, I and K keys on your keyboard if I remember correctly. if it's not those, just spam keys, it'll eventually remove three of the spikes. the one which tells you not to give up I found kinda funny. final boss is a long endurance fight, sort of reminiscent of Destination, likely due to the color scheme (or lack thereof?) and final attack being very similar to the white phase of Destination. there's some actually kinda difficult reading you have to do, it isn't exactly a walk in the park where you can just turn your brain off and beat the entire fight effortlessly. it's a lot like Destination in that sense.
unfortunately platforming gets kinda annoying after like 15 screens of nothing but perpetual trap assault

20 rooms of very generic trials needle. there is not a single unique/interesting jump unfortunately. squished ground double diagonal near the end is by far the hardest jump - if not for A/D (which is enabled) which makes that jump trivial. kid effect is pretty cool, I guess

Just replayed this game on Hard Mode after beating it on Easy years ago. It's okay. The needle isn't terrible but it's not great either. Light Trap was the only screen pick which I can say was remarkably good. The rest is just generic needle.
Papaya Stages are easily the highlight with Eversion being my personal favorite and a bonus to P&A since I played Shift as a kid before.
I would recommend Easy mode if you want to play this.
