What an incredible journey!
I don't have much to say that isn't said by the other glowing reviews of this game. Floor 31 was real fun, and the end game was insanely fulfilling, it got frustrating at times, but I persevered and cleared the whole game!
Final stats on floor 100: 25873 deaths, just under 60 hours
Final stats overall: 125398 deaths, just over 209 hours

New Weegee is one of the most exciting 2022 releases that nobody expected at all. It's been years since the old version was first shown to the community, but now here it is almost a decade later in a complete form, and it's going to knock your fucking socks off.
Weegee is an extremely long Adventure game with a load of variety to carry it the entire way. The game has over 15 different stages in it, most of which come with their own bosses, and all of them have a different level of gameplay designed to keep the player entertained but also on their toes. One minute you're dealing with platforms that are carried by spider string, another time you'll be shooting orbs to flip your gravity. A major factor that I really appreciate about this game is that Trigger has proven you can make single jump gameplay incredibly fun, and surprisingly gets a lot of mileage out of it too. Other neat factors involve 3 unique items you get that serve as cool gimmicks, each time you unlock one the game feels like it evolves just a little bit more as the platforming becomes even cooler. On that note, I'd say in general this game has some of the best platforming segments of any fangame. The bosses were pretty neat too, they usually involve gimmick usage as well in order to make each of them unique and interesting.
There are some aspects of the game, despite my 10 rating, that I do think could use some improvement anyways in order to bring up the general quality and help others who have struggled. First, there are two bosses I would say are quite problematic: The small swords boss is kind of tedious when you have to go through the first phase every single time, also on the account of them having too many attacks you can't deal damage in. The bird boss was also pretty rough because the gust attack was actually just incredibly difficult compared to everything else and truly distasteful. For platforming, I would say that once multiple gimmicks became involved it felt like playing DDR on my keyboard, which was actually just pretty terrible to play. Grandmaster's Path first two saves were by far the worst things in the game and should either have some sort of save point or be nerfed (especially the hook shot cancel on the right side of the second screen). Also, I would recommend turning the lighting brightness a bit higher by default, and because I went most of the game not realizing you could change it maybe make the hold button press to toggle by default as well. Finally, Boo Kart, I've seen basically nobody have a solid time with it, myself included, because the handling on it is absolutely awful; I only even managed to beat it by committing to throwing the first map since it felt way harder than the rest. These comments are mainly just suggestions in case an eventual update is planned to fix more stuff, but the game is completely playable even if not done.
Overall, I think New Weegee is one of the best contenders for Fangame of the Year, and easily one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences I've had. It took years to make, but the wait was absolutely worth it because this game is one of the absolute monoliths of our community.

Most of it is fun and original attacks, a lot of them requiring some figuring out, which can thankfully be done in practice, but some stuff is just really unfun, most notably both the first and the second transitions to chorus.
Edit: I forgot something, if you're making an avoidance, please do not put apples with a black outline and stem on a black background :p
