Completely unreasonable. No human would ever clear this in a million years ever. Ao is not human.

A great hard game. The controls and physics are a distinct take on the gamefeel of fangames, and the gorgeous original visual style complements that well. There are many ways to play the game, which means that how much of the game you play is more or less how much of the game you want to do. Even then, there is still a proper difficulty curve and sense of progress from getting new coins. Replay value is very high with this one, which is a pretty nice plus.

As for the level design, it is very unique, in that some levels are designed with the expectation of getting every coin in a single go, and others suggest to complete the level across several replays, grabbing a few coins at a time to get them out of the way before others. This aspect is handled pretty naturally across all parts of the game. As for what the levels play like, I'll say: It starts pretty hard pretty quick, and only gets harder. Every level has a distinct feel or concept to it, but usually there is a good amount of planning ahead or trial-and-error to work out the best way to get through it. The later levels are increasingly out-there in terms of concept, and also end up being the hardest, sometimes to a degree where you can get lost not knowing what to do. Despite that, though, having 100%'d the game now, I will say that they were all very fun and tight levels in retrospect.

Ultimately, the biggest issue I have with the game is the learning curve, but by nature, it becomes less of a problem the better you get at the game. The new control set is just distinct enough to make it feel like you're learning a new game, but it overlaps with figuring out routes through level layouts which are nontrivial from the onset. Beyond the set of signs that teach you the base controls at the beginning, you're left on your own to figure out which abilities you can use, as well as how you should use them, to complete certain challenges. In some cases, this is pulled off well, like the brilliant levels of the early 30s, which have a well-conveyed path as well as a route through it which flows well. However, like I said before, the last few levels of the game are much harder to parse, and it can easily feel like there's something key you're missing, like you're not sure whether your skill level isn't up to par or if you're doing the wrong thing entirely.

Despite that, though, it's still up to you to choose what you want to do, so if the harder stuff isn't your cup of tea, you shouldn't feel bad about skipping a few coins, or even a few levels entirely. Playing through the game your own way will be enough to build up the necessary skills to actually beat it, even if it takes a while. That's how I felt about the game, at least. And, when you've figured everything out and you have the skill to boot, the game feels wonderful. I'd definitely recommend this, perhaps not as a fangame, but as a game for people who want something new.

Difficulty based on the base clear.

Coinstack 1000 is a very impressive game. Its a pure platforming, collectathon styled game with beautiful custom made art. It doesn't branch out from its base formula, but it does its base formula very well.

Production value is phenomenal. There's great little details and effects for everything - there's consideration for the sound design and the art at every step and this lends so much to making it feel good. It is a game where you'll be looking around every room when you enter, and the fact that it looks good, the important objects are eyecatching and its always visually pleasing goes a long way to keeping you engaged with every new floor.

Platforming wise, it feels great for the vast majority of it (more on this later). The movement is creative and the new mechanics add a ton of flair to the platforming. It still feels mostly like a fangame, but with extra on top to make it more interesting. It won't feel like a needle game, but it will feel like fangame platforming, leaving a nice middle ground between comfortable and creative.

Up to any%, I would say this is one of the best fangame experiences I've had - it progresses well, new ideas come and go and its just a ton of fun. After that, though, it almost becomes a victim of its own success. The game was not that long and left me wanting more, but the later levels proved to be such a difficulty spike that it became much less fun - not only because they were harder but it felt it brought out limitations in the movement that felt really smooth in an easier section (a similar experience to what I personally had with Celeste). The much tighter spaces combined with the movement/momentum from the walljump, or the strict distance of the dash made it transition from 'how do I use my resources to get from point A to B' to 'okay, I need to be in this exact location to use my ability because that's the only control I have over it'. However, I would say that the harder levels are not bad, by any means, but the sharp spike transitioned the progression quickly from analyzing cool movements and levels into grinding to improve the handling because it was a quick enough spike that you wouldn't be getting the gradual practice needed. If you don't mind grinding to improve your skill, these levels are still full of satisfying movements and interesting layouts.

Overall, the game is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys platforming (fangames or otherwise - this is the perfect game for anyone who likes platformers but doesn't like the rigidity of needle) to play it because you will fall in love with it. The majority of the stages just flow together and its absolutely worth trying, but if the later levels end up not appealing to you, let it stay short and sweet. For anyone else, I'd say still play it. As someone who prefers the grand, sprawling, variety filled adventures this is not really that, but its a game that is done well enough that it can and should appeal to those across genres.
