So this game is an adventure game which is heavily inspired by retro games. The first stages are relatively easy and honestly pretty forgettable. The game gets good towards the end with some noticeable needle with an incredible final boss. I would rate the final boss a 9/10 70 with the rest of the game being maybe a 6.5/10 55. Overall, it is worth a play just for the final boss (which will likely take as long as the rest of the game).

A nice 2 stage demo with lots of variety, simple but fun platforming and bosses, and secrets that feature more experimental gameplay.
For more specific criticism, I'll say that the jump in difficulty from the first stage to second was pretty noticeable, but it didn't get much in the way of my enjoyment. The second secret got tedious after dying on it a few times because of how long the save is, but I still enjoyed it because of it's unique mechanic.
Bosses were simple but fun, don't have much else to say about them.
I hope this game gets finished, the content that's here is good.

I must admit, I haven't gotten far into this game but the way Nick has taken existing screens and buffed them is incredibly interesting and I'm looking forward to see more of this game.

I hated extra avoidance, a lot of unfair and impossible situations blocked me from beating it. -2 ~ -1 rating because of that. However the main game was really amazing. I only recommend playing this until the final boss.

I really love the game since it has a lot of variety, and I think every gimmick worked out pretty well. Exceptions exist though, such as floor 25 (or the gimmick in general, and maybe 18). Would definitely recommend.
