It's an alright game, that'll give you an alright time. It's nothing that you will remember though. Each save don't feel all that satisfying and the traps are a chore, with none of them being all that funny. Every boss except the final one is really basic and uninteresting (I did like the time based one though). It has restarting music too, which is yikes.

Really phenomenal gimmick needle game with a lot of flair and charm. 10 stages of 5 floors a piece, each featuring their own varied gimmicks that generally flow well into the platforming and offer a little bit of thinking into the process.
Production wise, it looks phenomenal. The info seems to indicate there's a lot of online shaders jammed into it, but they look like they were modified to fit an aesthetic and, for the most part, it worked. There's a handful of 'went too far' moments, but for the most part it looks really good (and has low quality options for those whose computers can't handle it) and is unobstrusive.
As for the platforming, its mostly really fun. It peaks in difficulty pretty early really, in the 15-25 range and gets a bit easier and stays level for the rest after that, so if you run into trouble early, its probably fine. The gimmicks last long enough to be used in interesting ways without overstaying their welcome and becoming repetitive and I generally enjoyed all of them with a few exceptions (the mouse one, for instance, which thankfully was only one screen).
There's a couple oddities that stand out - firstly all the rooms don't reset. This means cycles don't line up with resets - it keeps things looking really smooth but occasionally it means you're waiting for cycles. Its done in a way that's never too bad though, so its not like you're standing around for more than a second or two, but it does make learning some segments harder. Secondly, the save placement is a bit weird at times but again, never a real problem. And finally, I think its a slightly modified engine (maybe higher fps?) but the differences are quite minor.
Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this to any experienced player looking for gimmick needle with a little bit of puzzle elements. I really enjoyed it and there's a lot of great ideas under a pretty decent polish, which is most of what you'd look for in the genre.

Relatively short avoidance (around 2 minutes length) made by the author of I wanna be the Flash and I wanna be the Detective. The only difference is that this looks like was supposed to be a serious avoidance.
It mainly consists from different random attacks, which fluctuate between being generic and a little bit more original than usual. I would rather tend to the second one. Even bouncing looks very fitting to DJ Yoshitaka's soundtrack and starry background. It is actually more fun than if you just look on someone's clear video on Youtube.
It does not mean that this 2013 avoidance is brilliant in every aspect. It has pretty questionable choice of random attacks, which gives stress rather than pleasure to the player. It is hard to say how fair or unfair it is, but it can surely be pretty harsh to anyone who is not used to avoidances and fast-paced attacks. Also, I quite disliked the fact that intro (where the song's cover is shown) is so long, it could be twice as shorter. Since I have seen video before playing avoidance, I knew there is one instagib (I guess?), which occurs somewhere near the end, when fruits make something like Tic-tac-toe cells. I guess you cannot stand in every cell.
Anyway, despite the fact that avoidance can seem very questionable, I think it is quite well-preserved through all these years. Would recommend if you feel confident that you are not the worst avoidance player in the galaxy and if you do not have something against DJ Yoshitaka and / or his music.
Update 25/12/2023:
Re-played it 2nd time. I was lucky to first try everything from the bouncing after first 'cage', but wow... it is really stressful and annoying. So many questionable RNG, annoying introduction and generic look. It is definitely more original 2013 avoidance, but I certainly felt frustration and boredom while playing it 3 years later. I do not think that it preserved quite well. Also it is harder than I initially thought. So I am removing my original ratings (5.8 and 53). And now I would not recommend this avoidance. It is more stressful than fun.
