This game is unkind. I still don't know the effect of the third ring. I knew from the speedrun video that the gravity reversal to get a particular item was hidden, and if I hadn't, I would quit. Most puzzles don't even tell me what to do. Besides that, I wasted too much time because of the unkindness of this game.
(And I will never get to the secret)
Not only that, the problem is.
The structure of platforming loses its novelty as the play progresses. The obstacles all look different, but their attack is similar and to avoid them is almost the same. Most of the gimmicks are familiar, and it's hard to say that they've been used in a fresh way. The monsters were welcome at first, but the attacks they use are bad. It doesn't matter if the game is short, but I had to face them more than a hundred times. That's the problem. To increase the volume of this game, the author mass produced incomplete screens.
(+The final boss was not cool and felt that his attack was not like a final boss.)
Not everything does that. In fact, there are interesting parts in this game. But unfortunately, I forgot them. If you're familiar with Metroidvania and really love that, it's worth playing.

The biggest reason why I could enjoy fangames, was that no matter how unreasonable or unbalanced they were, I was given unlimited opportunities to try them. It was very meaningful to me. I got used to the traits of these fangames, so I didn't always enjoy 'limited' games.
Personally, I do never think such a system fits the platformer. I thought it was not fun at all to play the same things over and over again. I couldn't face really different situation in every play. Just have to play the same maps continuously based on a slightly better environment.
(All the more so because the skill or item is difficult to influence the actual play and the challenges do not provide anything special)
So I really couldn't feel the sense of accomplishment of progress that I could feel in some fangames.
This is bad, in my opinion.
