Mostly enjoy making needle games, I'm more confident in my 32px for releasing games so my releases are likely to be 32px, though I enjoy making different needle as well. Check out my profile on IWM, that's where I usually release needle maps.

For: I wanna go across the Crimson Rainbow
The needle in this game is pretty clearly dated and there were exactly 0 drops I enjoyed (at least the way they were designed) but I had fun.
Docking 0.3 from the rating just because of the green stage, it had too many ambiguous inputs for my tastes and could be difficult to understand at a glance, it's definitely the most awkward stage to execute as well, granted there's plenty of awkward inputs around the game regardless.
Not a must play by any means, but it's short enough you can beat it in one session and most of it ended up feeling pretty fun.

Although I say 2 paths, the split is on the first screen, which makes both paths feel linear in nature.
The trap placement is alright, some sections are a bit annoying though most of it fits well with the 'OG guy' feel.
Level design wise there's a few cool sections, I noticed a lot of empty space and empty hallways, its not enough to detract too much, but worth pointing out. The only thing that did bother me were screen warps, some of which just put you at the screen's playerStart. Regardless, the level design was enjoyable enough where I didn't mind it too much.
As for bosses, the right path boss is decently interesting, though you die off the side of the screen, which got me once sadly. Final boss was also pretty neat, I noticed a bug with the large fireball spread attack which scales every fireball on screen instead of just the ones spawned.
For: Not Another Needle Game
I won't go into what I liked about the game, plenty of people have done that already. I'm docking 1 point just because of the contact saves, a big pet peeve of mine. They are a double edged sword since, on one hand, it simplifies saving but on the other hand you'll often end up accidentally saving in the air or somewhere awkward. As someone who usually optimizes save positioning, not having full control over where I save is a big negative for me. Other than that, the game is really well designed and I recommend trying it if you haven't already.
