Very interesting needle game, I've always looked at it as something i've wanted to play, but been scared off, i'm not all that sure why, but I've realized this fear is irrational, this game absolutely surpassed my expectations, and I do quite like it.
Firdos follows the general 32px needle design for a lot of it, with throwing in some light usage of gravity, or vines & water depending on which path you go. This game also tries out being an 'open-map' with multiple routes all leading to the finale. I will say- I like how the finale is the hardest save by a decent bit, that being said, the different paths are stained a bit by balance. The right path is vastly easier than the left path, likely not by intention but due to inexperience and proper testing, but i still commemorate this game for giving a shot anyway, not a lot of 32px needle this difficult even usually tries to (infact, this is the only game of this difficulty that i can think of that does try this), execution isn't perfect but that's okay in my books. Visually it switches it up a bit, most parts look decently good, and i like how it switches up the kid sprite but not in a way that negatively affects the gameplay. My favourite area is likely the right path's gravity area visually, I think the inverted edges style looked pretty cool, but it's kind of a shame it was ended so quick. The areas before that were also pretty cool, I liked it, 2nd area on the right path was cool, i'm not a big fan of the purple city area solely due to that it can be a bit hard to see the kid at one point, but I quite like the idea of progressing further into the game to encounter a modified version of the starting area- it's cool. Finale switches between a few different visuals, also liked it, pretty cool stuff overall, I'm glad the game does switch it up a decent amount rather than keeping it stale- adds to the whole different pathways notion. Needle design is somewhat questionable at times, some of the earlier saves do suffer from the occasional jump that's considerably harder than ones around it, or a few jumps that are just a bit too easy, etc, but I didn't find it to be really problematic, that being said I think I went the easiest route on my clear of this (right path), I'll play the other routes soon and update this when I do. I enjoyed everything up to the final a lot, but I also didn't spend a lot of time with it, I can see some complaints, but I might just be nitpicking at that point, I definitely did find the needle really fun and pretty intuitive aswell. Final save has a few iffy jumps, first of all, there's a spike that doesn't have collision, which is a bit of a throw since I don't think there's any other fake spikes in the game, and it's in one of the more questionable jumps of that save aswell. First screen top right has a raw corner and tight djump (especially if you want to vstring the diagonal after), it's kinda nasty but it got consistent, albeit still harder than most other jumps in the save. 2nd screen has a drop that's also a bit nasty, but to counteract these two jumps there's a few gems. I liked screen 1's corner jump in the middle of the save, delayed right press but lenient especially visually, I liked almost every jump in screen 3, and also the start of screen 1. I enjoyed the final save, consistent and plays decently uniquely comparing to other difficult 32px setup needle around it, good stuff imo, I quite like long multi-screen climatic saves and this one pulled it off well with having difficulty drop down further into the save.
I quite liked this game, maybe it's my weak spot, but I had a blast. I like how this game tried out a few new things aswell, and even though it didn't exactly hit the spot, I still think it delivered pretty well on it's gameplay and some of it's visuals so I don't really mind. I'd recommend this if you're into this kind of needle.

Unique jump, it's basically famous at this point for being extremely difficult yet somehow consistent for some. I don't personally love this jump, it looks really messy, having spikes placed inside eachother, etc. I won't lie, it's original in it's structure, and the game's visuals are also pretty good considering what the actual game is. It's really neat that there's some extra practice stuff included in this game, such as savestates, I didn't use them, but it shows quality and care. As for the actual jump, i'm not a fan, some parts of it are pretty fun- the ones where there's no delay between left and right inputs. There's 3 1f delayed movement inputs, the starting sphincter gets a pass and is alright, but the 4th corner especially is incredibly awkward and really infuriating, the right press release just wasn't intuitive to me atleast, and the left press too. It's a small nitpick, but these inputs are the cause of most deaths while playing this jump, and most of the struggle too, I think this would've been a lot more enjoyable (although easier) if the midair sphincters were changed to be immediate key presses. There's also the restarting problem that this engine carries, dying while holding left and pressing the restart key will spawn you in the spike and make you restart again, which gets pretty tiring when some of the hardest inputs will have you dying with left held, because of this, playing it in jtool or maker feels considerably smoother as you don't have to constantly repress restart, it's a really noticeable and bothersome problem that makes the game a lot more tedious. Overall the game is well-made, has a few problems (such as the restarting) and the jump is mostly fine yet also somewhat annoying at times, I wouldn't really recommend playing this as it's easily draining.

extremely fun needle save, game only contains 1 save, and it's based off "i wanna close the world"'s final extra save. It's an interesting needle style, 16px (except for a few minispikes) setup needle for the most part, with a pretty jump dense screen. As of writing this, i haven't played ctwex, so I can't really comment on how this compares to that, but in my opinion the needle here is extremely well-made. The final row is incredibly difficult, especially the first jump, and the jumps proceeding that are very easy to die to, it's difficulty is balanced out by the middle portion being decently easier, and consisting of many simple 1fs\cancels or recoverable jumps. I think this was a very good choice, i'm not sure if intentional, but nevertheless it's effective, I believe if the middle row wasn't a lot simpler and easier, it would make the last row more draining to get attempts too, and overall make the save a lot more tedious to play, I view the middle row not as a break, but a bit less intense to properly separate the bottom and top row and give the player an easier portion. I find the top row honestly really difficult, the first jump isn't too crazy but the 3f can be a bit nasty at some times, and the 2 jumps after the 1f corner are also somewhat questionable. This leads into what is likely my biggest problem with this save- and it's likely that the creator didn't really notice this, or care for it, but I'm not that big of a fan of the prefinal jump on the top row, mainly due to that it's possible to bonk cancel or 1f this jump, but only at .40 valign or higher, there's not much room to do a complete valign setup, a simple 4f won't guarantee you to be above this range, and a more complicated and lengthy setup runs the risk of making attempts pretty monotone and stretching them out a bit as this is towards the start of this save. It's somewhat frustrating that it's not that feasible to do what i felt is the best method for this jump without some valign gambling. That being said, it does get quite consistent, and the other strats aren't too bad. There's some other valign dependent inputs in this save, I'm a fan of the 12f strat in the bottom row, and at the final jump of the top row it's possible to 5f aswell. I'm just not the biggest fan of this, and I'm also not the biggest fan of the prefinal jump in the middle row, and the 2nd jump in the last row. But there's some really good jumps here aswell, everything past the 2nd jump in the last row I quite like, the final jump of the middle row is also a personal favourite. Overall I really liked how this save felt to play, the top row gets consistent and fun, and the middle row gets extremely consistent aswell, and the final row is to die at, in the sense of collecting more deaths there, as the first jump is unbelievably hard. I'm docking some points for the visuals since, well, it's just ctwex. Considering this was made many years after ctwex, I would've liked to see some improvement to the visuals, mainly with the minispike sprites, other than that I don't really have any complaints. Very fun save, extremely difficult, not too original with the visuals but considering it's a tomodati game, I'm not sure it was intended to be anything groundbreaking or amazing or even a serious game at all (Not in a derogatory manner, but usually tomodati games seem to be somewhat joke-ish). I'd definitely recommend this to someone interested in such, but prepare yourself for a lot of deaths to some of the jumps in the last row.

rating based off a blind playthrough that never used the route image or any video references. this game has consistently poorly designed jumps, blind jumps, kind of silly align moments (with practically invisible black-on-black kid feet), and doesn't even pull off the needle design it goes for with the maze, the second half of the maze is incredibly obvious for the most part and is almost linear, whilst the first half is unbelievably unintuitive and not fun in the slightest. I'm convinced not many people have actually played this without looking at the cheat sheet, as it is not designed well at all, i don't think this game pulls the maze off properly, and even then the actual needle is horribly unbalanced, unfun, and poorly designed with an unreasonable amount of blind jumps, awkward maneuvers or unrealistically tight jumps in the middle or ends of saves. Some points for the visuals. Maybe this is fun if you spoil yourself on the route, but I feel like me suggesting to do that would be on the same level as "Cool puzzle game if you look at the answers". Also this game has a somewhat substantial skip that goes over ~5 or so saves, it's not problematic if you're looking at the answer sheet but stuff like this kind of sucks for blind players, as it appears to be the intended route (or just a different split path (this is another complaint i have with this game, i found it somewhat disappointing after clearing as there's only one route to take, unless you do that skip, it's basically a linear game hidden behind a bunch of frustration for blind players)). Also there's a jump that has a valign range where it's impossible. Also there's a visual bug especially on the last save after restarting.

Extremely unique and cool needle game.
The theme of this game is executed extremely well, both in needle design and visuals. Visually I think it's really cool well-made, the tileset is pleasant and the inverted side of the screen also includes an inverted version of the player, which makes it quite satisfying to look at. There's also some cool neat touches, the transition between from the 2nd to 3rd save is really cool, and it's genuinely just super unique for a difficult needle game like this. This game is on the shorter side, having only 3 saves, the first is a symmetrical precision save, I enjoyed it and think it's well-done, albeit not as interesting as the inverted saves but I think it's a cool introduction. Of the main 2 saves, I found the first to be a considerable amount more difficult than the second, but not by a problematic amount.
This game has really cool needle design, it looks absurd on first glance, the pathing isn't immediately obvious, and it's extremely dense while being limited to half of the screen. It looks intimidating, and somewhat even puzzling at first to figure out what the intended path is, and I think that's awesome. It's different, it might not be appealing to some but I found it extremely fun, there's some odd maneuvers especially on the 2nd save that end up getting extremely consistent and enjoyable to pull off, and overall it's just an extremely unique experience with how the needle plays- it seems randomly made or unrealistic at first, but I think it's incredibly well made. Third save is also quite nice, albeit a decent bit more simple and easier in execution, but I still found it to be quite cool of a save.

I really like this game's needle design, it's so unique from other difficult needle games and i believe it really executed it well. The visuals are cool too, theme is awesome and is also unique, overall clearing this game was an incredibly different and fun experience. My only complaints here, is that the game does seem to crash after ~10 minutes of being open, alongside that there was a certain save ( 2nd save ) that lagged a lot for me, but it could be a hardware problem on my end. I'd highly recommend playing this, even blind (as i did, and i really enjoyed it).
