The gimmicks and arrangements that entertain the concept of needles reminded me that I could enjoy it due to the difficulty of needles.
Difficult placement will be canceled with a fun gimmick.
But it's very difficult to clear the time attack...

After finally getting around to completing this game during quarantine, NANG remains one of the most complete, cohesive fangames around. For sheer quantity and quality of levels, it's hard to beat...assuming you don't mind gimmicks.
There are some truly clever levels here, and some truly frustrating ones as well - I think as fangame players we all have varying degrees of "feel" for arrangements of spikes and jumps, and there are a lot of challenges and gimmicks here that just broke that sense, at least for me. NANG is not "comfy" - it's demanding and unforgiving - but also incredibly rewarding.
Geezer has crafted a truly staggering (almost 400!) number of levels here, and fits them into a fun, tongue-in-cheek narrative that helps blunt the growing challenge. It owes a lot to Portal, but it's sincere inspiration, not simple imitation. The visuals are equal parts funny and impressive, and this is a game that will surprise everyone at some point - it's just bursting at the seams with originality.
Also, it's not easy. There aren't many truly difficult single jumps (this is, of course, not another needle game), but there are gauntlets of timing and precision that will test even seasoned players, if only because there's really nothing else like them.
Ultimately, it's a classic for a reason - give it a try, and if you can't clear it now, come back to it later - it's worth it.
