I wanna be the Animus is a very fun adventure game with many different worlds filled with fun and unusual gimmicks. If you've played A Written Challenge from Death, you're probably familiar with this guys unique style. Honestly, I could see a beginner having a hard time with this game which is the reason I gave it such a high difficulty score. For average players though, this game won't be a problem.

I guess you can call it a medley game, even though it always keeps the same style and doesn't say what games the screens are from. I'd reccomend it for beginners who have already learned the basics and are looking for a challenge.

Back in the old days of fangames, before Cultured, Kamilia, and all the great titles came out, the only fangames I played were I Wanna be the Guy, and I Wanna be the Boshy. While playing through Boshy, I came to the conclusion that it was the greatest fangame of all time. Years later after playing dozens of fangames, I returned to Boshy to see if I could beat it. However, I was met with disappointment. This was not the game I remembered. The physics felt weird, none of the needle was all that exciting, the bosses were badly designed, and it felt kind of glitchy as well. The only good things I noticed was the music, the production value, and to be perfectly honest, it is pretty fun for what it is. I am not dissing the game, neither am I trying to persuade people not to play it. All I'm saying is that this was one of Solgryn's first games, and that this game came out in 2011 so compared to fangames released between 2015-2017 it's really not that great. Overall, great game, great music and visuals, but I am most likely not going to complete this game.

This is one of the few fangames I would reccomend to anyone. If you like adventure games with several short stages filled with unusual gimmicks, you will like this game.

Great game! It starts off easy, like many other fangames do, but it gets more and more difficult as you go along. I really like the visuals in this game, plus the music is very catchy.

The only problem I had with this game is the huge increase of difficulty at the end. I beat the needle section with no problem, but the boss took me an hour and a half, but maybe I'm just bad. I wouldn't reccomend this to a beginner despite it being considered a "novice game", but I could see an average fangamer having fun with this.
