I feel like this game has dark themes, and executes them as well as you could ask from a fangame, but is also gratuitous without much deeper meaning to it all. I wouldn't say it's "brutal for the sake of being brutal", but I also felt that everything here was fairly surface level. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's definitely top-tier for a fangame, but overall I wasn't so impressed.
Also one step in the puzzle process was so arbitrary it felt more frustrating than good to figure out: Why did I have to give the spider web to the girl to make a rope? This whole step could have been removed I think. It's just arbitrary.

Pretty solid game overall. Consistently switches things up with plenty of variety, and short enough that nothing ever gets old.

There's not much good, not much bad. It's just pretty generic needle. Same as Inferno, I struggle to compliment a game with saves that start off with consecutive corners and a plane. This is really a game that's just there.

This is definitely a game I enjoyed more than not. The lack of bosses is perfect, when the first non-boss faded away and the music for stage 2 kicked in I knew I was in for a good time, since I had to drop Cultured 2 due to the bosses being too tedious for me. The first three stages of Cultured 1 really delivered and I had a lot of fun smashing through the varied stages and t heir gimmicks. However, things slowed down at the really easy and really boring Guy Tower ( it might be a meme I'm missing but I don't see the appeal of this kind of level design https://i.imgur.com/yXKRoDl.jpg ), and then the rest of the game was just normal needle more or less. There wasn't really anything bad about it, but it felt disappointing and comparatively uninspired (though the Stage Rush section was an entertaining twist). Explosive start, meh finish, but overall an alright game that gets two thumbs up from me thanks to the excellent boss design (i.e. not having bosses beyond the last one).
