Great game with excellent level design and outstanding visuals except one boss that was Burnmind-pilled with unbearable visuals and annoying sound effects. Also the flipping platforms in the purple castle stage were a bit buggy, sometimes not responding when shot.
Overall, a very fun game whose highlight for me is the last stage (the red one)

Difficulty based on Campaign Mode.
I wanted to wait until the game came out of early access to leave a review so here we go.
I Wanna Maker is a work of art, a game in which you can notice at every moment the love, effort and enthusiasm that the developers invested in its creation. I will divide this review into 3 sections: Editor, online and campaign mode.
EDITOR:
The main core of the game. It contains a very wide range of objects with which to create more things than one can imagine, which is demonstrated with some levels created by some people. It may seem that it only serves to create 2D platformers, but it has been seen that you can even create 3D game simulations, so the level of customization that the editor has makes it, in my opinion, superior to other better-known games like Mario Maker.
ONLINE:
One of the most complex online systems offered by a fangame. The system contains a database of levels with multiple search options so that each person can find the levels that best suit their taste, including filters such as difficulty, genre, publication date, etc., in addition to having a simpler system of filters as the fact that it simply finds the most popular, most recent levels or those in which the most people are playing (a feature which is one of my favorites), regardless of any type of more advanced filter. But the online is not only in this database, it also has an integrated "I Wanna Play Online" through which you can see other people who are currently playing the same level as you, as well as have a chat text to chat with them.
CAMPAIGN:
The highlight of version 1.0 for me. At first I expected a fairly simple campaign mode that would serve more as something extra. Instead, I found a story mode that, if released as a standalone fangame, could very well be one of my favorite adventure fangames. It has basically everything I look for in a fangame: Outstanding visuals with beautiful world maps, considerable length (6 worlds with a good number of levels + a world 7 that serves as a conclusion), incredible soundtrack, immersive sound effects and a difficulty to beginners that I really like. Each level brings something new to the table, and together they serve as a great showcase of what you can do with the game editor. The level design throughout the story mode is excellent and it's a delight to run through the levels while trying to find the optional collectibles.
CONCLUSION:
This fangame has a level of polish like few others. I really hope this game eventually gets the popularity it deserves. For everything mentioned above, I can only say: Long live I Wanna Maker.

Good game but with several flaws. The parts of the game I liked the most were the platforming in stages 3 and 4. However, stage 1 I found quite flat and stage 2 was quite annoying, especially due to the gimmick of the fans.
The bosses, meanwhile, I found somewhat boring, especially the first one, as it has an attack where you have to stand on top of tiny moving platforms while the boss throws multiple things, making trying to shoot the boss during that attack quite risky, so I was limited to simply waiting for it to finish that attack. The unskippable intros didn't help the bosses much either.
However, I appreciate that these types of fangames exist because fangames that have stages based on videogames always have a place in my heart.

I love the art style of this maker, both in this game and in their other games like Honyarara and Faded Envy, as well as their level design. The only negative thing I find in this game is its length and, consequently, the only ambiance it has is maintained throughout the game (I am always a fan of having different ambiances in a game) and, if anything, the screen of the homing cherries

This fangame encapsulates what, in my opinion, represents the essence of fangames, something that I Wanna Be The Guy started and that games like I Wanna Be The Fangame, Boshy or Kill The Guy continued. Very funny traps related to some iconic videogame action or character, sometimes mixed with fangame lore in a majestic way, as well as puzzles and gimmicks that share these previous characteristics, and also varied gameplay. Even when the gameplay is very IWBTG-esque like with other games like Run The Marathon or Save The Ship, you feel that essence I'm talking about.
The production value of this game is outstanding, and you can tell the huge amount of effort put into it throughout, both in the visual part, as well as in the soundtrack and sound effects. The most notable atmosphere is in the final stage and the final boss, achieving a very immersive and enjoyable atmosphere.
And something that makes me very sad is to see that, as of the date of publication of this review, this style of games is increasingly tending to disappear, since it is the style of games that I enjoy the most. I can only hope that this style never dies and I will always be waiting with open arms for games of this style, as is the case with, for example, I Wanna Flashback
