After finally getting around to completing this game during quarantine, NANG remains one of the most complete, cohesive fangames around. For sheer quantity and quality of levels, it's hard to beat...assuming you don't mind gimmicks.
There are some truly clever levels here, and some truly frustrating ones as well - I think as fangame players we all have varying degrees of "feel" for arrangements of spikes and jumps, and there are a lot of challenges and gimmicks here that just broke that sense, at least for me. NANG is not "comfy" - it's demanding and unforgiving - but also incredibly rewarding.
Geezer has crafted a truly staggering (almost 400!) number of levels here, and fits them into a fun, tongue-in-cheek narrative that helps blunt the growing challenge. It owes a lot to Portal, but it's sincere inspiration, not simple imitation. The visuals are equal parts funny and impressive, and this is a game that will surprise everyone at some point - it's just bursting at the seams with originality.
Also, it's not easy. There aren't many truly difficult single jumps (this is, of course, not another needle game), but there are gauntlets of timing and precision that will test even seasoned players, if only because there's really nothing else like them.
Ultimately, it's a classic for a reason - give it a try, and if you can't clear it now, come back to it later - it's worth it.

Absolutely wonderful needle with chill visuals and music, and dotkid that I actually *enjoyed*. Not particularly challenging, but engaging and carefully crafted. I don't think I really disliked any screens in this game, and time just kinda flew while I played it.

A pretty standard needle game split into two areas. Visuals and sound are simple but effective (low-volume, calming death sound? Yes please!). I found the first area more interesting both aesthetically and jump-design wise, although that is often the case with the kind of difficulty bump these split games often end up with. The difficulty of the second area is more due to save length than jump difficulty, and the transition from the more open, free-flowing first area is a bit jarring.
Overall a solid game, and worth playing for fans of needle.

Fun needle that's hampered by a few design choices and slightly erratic difficulty.
The music and visuals are both nice, but the background effect is a bit too fast for my tastes, and I'm generally averse to effects that completely restart on death--the effect gets old quickly.
Difficulty averages out to decently challenging across the board, but can vary wildly even on a single screen, and the save placement often exacerbates this.
Play in fullscreen for a nice surprise when you clear ;)

Short, moderately difficult needle game with a nifty warp affect and pretty, but problematic aesthetic choices.
The music and background are nice, but the choice of spike colors (blue->white on a gradient) is...questionable given the background is the exact same colors...it never quite reaches unplayable levels of color-blending, but it's close, and annoying. Similarly, the warp effect is cool to begin with but quickly becomes grating, especially since it's yet more blinding blue.
All screens take place in smaller rooms, with a smattering of saves depending on jump difficulty - mostly standard jumps, with a few interesting drops and one mini-spike sequence thrown in. A few more corners than are strictly necessary, but nothing egregious. Screen transitions are a bit unfortunate, and don't auto-save, so be careful hitting that warp.

Short needle game with pretty backgrounds and a nice color-shifting aesthetic. Mostly trivial, with a couple oddly difficult (in comparison, that is) jumps thrown in. One boss, nothing special but decently executed.
A couple gripes: death sound and screen tiles are both kinda loud.

Fun, happy needle. What more is there to say? A few blind screen transitions, but nothing mean.

Medium length needle with calming music, solid visuals and a pleasant, non-intrusive death sound. Extra points just for that last one, I'm so tired of the standard one.

A perfectly competent 100-floor game that unfortunately becomes kind of monotonous. The difficulty curve is well done, but since it never rises above "mildly challenging" the sense of progression will soon give way to boredom if you're an experienced player. One of those games where the Impossible clear might not be too far out of reach, if you wanted to. Clean tilesets and great music help make the journey more pleasant, but the actual platforming brings nothing new to the table.
