Hey, welcome to my profile, I've wanted to make a fangame for a while now; I've been part of this community since 2008 but I've pretty much always been a lurker, very little post history and it's on a different name anyways; if you've streamed IWBTG I've probably lurked your stream before.
Not as skilled as you may think.
I have played a wide array of fangames; my clear list isn't up to date. My favorite genres are Puzzle and Adventure. Don't like Avoidance. If you got any fangame recommendations please let me know.
Even though I have never done a fangame I still like to give my opinion on the games I play, even if they tend to be from a perspective of someone that's not as good or as knowledgeable of how fangames work.

Man, where to begin with this one: From sprite to music to platforming everything is done greatly. The gimmicks and variety on this one are great. Yes even the golf part.
My only problem with the game is the difficulty curve can be rough for beginners, the first level is probably the second hardest one only coming after the last level. In terms of bosses, they're alright, nothing really special or groundbreaking. The last boss can be super easy or super hard depending on the platform rng. And talking about rng, for a game that's supposed to be speedran there's a lot of rng all around the game..

I Wanna get Cultured is an interesting Medley, Taking inspiration from the Kamilia Series this one takes a more Beginner-Friendly approach, platforming feels great in this one even when they change some stuff to match the game it came from. The difficulty curve in this game is really good, starting out super easy then going to actually challenging. The humour is done pretty well (IMO) and the music is fine.
But still this is not a perfect game whatsoever, there are lots of stinkers in this one. Mainly
Stage4 being a huge tower that ends up being boring rather than anything else and being way too long. And for a more important negative: The final boss is thematically good but just ends up being annoying with all the rng it has. For the final phase getting Speed with "I wanna conquer the 100 trials" was just an instant restart because it was just so unfair comparing it to any of the others. I Wanna be the 3200min with low-g or I wanna celebrate the 100 with anything.
Still I wouldn't go as far as to say this is a bad game, I would be lying if I didn't say i had fun with it but those thing in the spoiler really wreck the experience.

Not as bad as most of the reviews make it out to be.
IWTBTGB is one of the first fangames I've ever played and I must admit, the first time it beat the shit out of me, I thought it was so hard. Now turning back to it; it just made me realize how annoying it actually was (and not hard). This fangame contains lots of traps and the bosses are just godawful RNG mashing fiesta. There are no cool platforming segments or anything and the world just feel unpolished. But still something about it makes me doubt if this is actually such an awful game. You see the game has it's charm being one of those old fangames that are just annoying but beating it still feels so satisfying. In the end, after finishing it you will look back and say "Man, that was a load of bullshit but it was still fun."

it's a fangame centered around a joke. It's pretty funny if you know/have played a lot of fangames before. Difficulty is pretty irelevant since that's not the point of the game. Way too short (5-15mins)
Reccomended for Veterans of IWTBG fangames.
If you're a beginner: Please keep this one until you have experienced enough fangames.
