Cool but final screen is really jank and the cycle is annoying due to how position dependent the gimmick is. Also shout outs to the soundtrack having one of the top 3 worst songs I've ever heard. I don't have a mommy

Good fun standard needle. I think the difficulty on the page is just a bit under-rated? Maybe just skill ceiling being a bit higher than I realise. Only "complaint" I have is that it feels a bit underwhelming or awkward to arbitrarily change tile sets but not music.

I appreciate what's being tried here; this is clearly an artistic expression. Unfortunately, however, the experience kind of falls flat.
There is a certain jank factor this game has that kind of breaks the flow, adds frustration and ultimately ends up putting a damper on the game overall. The "choice" section is really weird and not easy to understand at first, but when you do understand it, it is frustrating to play. There are off-screen warps with seemingly random positioning (meaning sometimes you die to the screen border, sometimes you warp) but even when you warp, you end up on the edge of the screen, in midair, holding the direction you exited the screen from. So you'll probably die to the screen transition if you do manage to warp, and if you don't then you have to get lucky with RNG jump refreshers... it's disappointing, I wanted to see the rest of the game through but this part is just so annoying it feels like a waste of time.
The platforming is not very interesting, but it does its job I suppose. I feel like the game shouldn't be afraid to have some 0 difficulty segments -- a moment that feels important to the theme is squandered because you have arbitrarily chosen screen wrap on one axis and invisible killers on the other. It can become a chore if you die to every single screen in this segment, and ruins the impact it could otherwise have.
This review is based on Easy mode, where you can pick spikes to delete. Interesting way to balance the difficulty, but it kind of feels like "I don't want to balance my game, can you do it for me?" I wouldn't personally recommend this game in its current state.

Fly the Far Away needs no introduction. I just want to complain a little bit about screen four.
I believe screen four contradicts the general design philosophy and flow of everything prior to it. To draw a simple parallel: screen four is to barrage as screens one through three are to pattern avoidances. The application of water here is generally more about creating reaction-based jumps than consistent setup jumps, which betrays everything that is already established about the game's design. The way water is used is not conducive to building muscle memory. Sure you can have strats, but there will always be slight deviations due to the nature of water. This issue is even present in the single water jump that you can set up: water dplanes. Due to the fickle nature of player physics, you may be a pixel higher or lower depending on your previous jump. Of course, you can study vstring theory and get more consistent executions, but personally I draw the line there.
Screen four, largely, is good. However, I don't enjoy it hardly as much as the rest of the game due to these issues. I like it a lot more than I did before clearing the save, but it isn't something I see myself replaying any time soon.
