Meh. Kaban stage has some nice visual effects, but it also gets in the way of gameplay. Parts of the stage have a gimmick that basically boils down to a patience test; you have to just wait on moving stuff, not always but sometimes due to bad starting cycles. That combined with limited vision just creates frustration and boredom. Limited vision is especially annoying because there are times where you just can't see what's ahead and you'll probably die to it. The fact that the main hazard blends in with the grass on the tile set doesn't do it any favours, either.. The mix of so many random gimmicks ends up with the stage feeling messy and unfocused, rather than interesting and varied. PoiMoi's stage is a fair bit harder than the Kaban's, as it is needle with some mild gimmicks sprinkled in sometimes. Nothing spectacular, but it's fine. Kaban's stage has some charm, but I don't really find anything about PoiMoi's stage to be particularly interesting. I wouldn't recommend this game, but I also wouldn't recommend not playing it. It just exists in my eyes.

Mostly one-jump screens, some are not though. A few interesting jumps and, to my surprise, sideways gravity. Biggest downfalls are the flippers playing sndBlockChange, the constant use of spam-tapping left/right for vines, visuals being hard to see and some jumps being needlessly precise.

I don't want to write a full review right now but basically: this game is unbelievably good, even with its blemishes it manages to have so much wonder and character, while still demonstrating very elegant design for large portions of the game. The soundtrack and aesthetics are also to die for. To say any of Kale's previous games are better than this one is really strange to me, since they all feel like they're building up to the point of what this game is. This game, to me, feels like everything "I wanna be the Crimson Needle" Kalemandu wanted to create and it embodies everything that makes fangames special. Not only is the game special, but its intentions are as well. The game is overflowing with genius mechanics that are begging to be explored. It's just a matter of time before we have more games with these gimmicks and we really see them through, and can get a grasp on how much potential oozes from this masterpiece. Thanks.
