Really fun stages, but the bosses are real stinkers. Definitely worth a playthrough!

Extremely fun game with 3 separate stages with vastly different gameplay. The bosses of these stages are also all quite fun! Would absolutely recommend.

All things considered, Agent is a very creative game in nearly every facet. The fact is that there are a ton of ideas here, and I respect the fact that the maker is willing to go this outside of the box in so many ways. That being said, every single idea here without exception is executed in perhaps the worst possible way, and even the ideas that have the potential to be fun are horrendously broken. Every stage is so crazily different from each other, and yet the quality remains at rock bottom. It honestly feels perfectly constructed but in the opposite way.
The first bulk of stages is honestly tolerable, but slowly and surely it gets worse and worse until it becomes quite literally unbearable. The minigames are straight up broken, nothing about the stages themselves are explained in any cohesive way, and it goes over the top in many facets, the main overarching theme of most of these being the traps, which feels specifically designed to spread out the playtime as much as humanly possible. It's honestly baffling.
The gimmicks themselves range from almost tolerable to completely braindead. The first group of stages has one where its just pure bossfights, except all of them are trivial and take so much time due to how they are designed, not to mention there are just *so* many in that one stage for practically zero reason. The shooting range is the only fun part of the game, and is also broken as if you make your multiplier negative and shoot at the X's, the game becomes trivially easy. There's a stage that has a gimmick of get this, quite literally breaking in full screen, and spamming textboxes you are forced to manually close out of in the middle of gameplay in a stage with constant traps, that quite frankly I'm convinced wasn't tested because *who on earth would find that fun?* There's a stage that lasts 5 years and a stage that is comprised of two diamonds, and that's it. Keep in mind, I have not touched on the bosses or on the boss stages yet, and there is STILL plenty more I can say about the stages individually.
The bosses range from tolerable (the sword boss being the best of the bunch, as it's relatively inoffensive,) to utterly and indescribably horrendous. The second boss is just brainless, the first and third bosses are just straight up boring, and the final boss is bar none the worst bossfight I've played. Phase one is horrifically boring, the hardest phases being Orange and Green (in which they can wall you whenever they so please,) and the rest is just hoping you don't get demolished by random off-screen cherries that suddenly appear below you. The second phase is somehow much worse, being completely comprised of literally nothing for the first 30 seconds, a shooting attack where it ranges from free to nearly impossible to deal with, literally nothing for *the next 2 minutes,* and then a final phase that is harder than the entire 3 and a half minutes before it. Utterly miserable. The boss stages are no better, the third and fourth boss stages being BEYOND riddled with traps to the point to where its just a mess.
The only reason why I didn't give this a flat out 0 was because I respect the creativity put behind this, but creativity means nothing when every idea is executed in just about the worst possible way imaginable. Genuinely baffling.
