It's decent for a first fangame, nothing too awkward and the visuals are mostly great - most of the game is well below 50 diff, aside from a couple diamonds, a corner and an extended 9 jump on the green screen. Favorite screen was the screen with the corner actually, least favorite screen was the orange corridor needle screen (worth pointing out that there's no save blockers on that screen, although I cleared it without abusing that).
My suggestions to the maker are to experiment with 16px grids, minispikes, and non-trivial pathing, and I encourage him to keep playing good needle games and making his own :)

♪Trapped in a city that brings out the darkness in my heart...♪
TABOO is a "gimmickventure" composed of three main stages of gimmicks and needle, each capped by a stage boss. Completing all three stages will unlock the final stages. You can expect a variety of gimmicks, lore, bosses, puzzles, and a couple surprises! If you can handle adventures in the low 60s and a bit of puzzling every now and then, I hope you will enjoy TABOO as much as I enjoyed making it.

-Nerfed Air Temple Boss
-Fixed major skip on Grass Temple
-Remade multiple saves across all stages
-Improved visuals and tweaked final avoidance

I've always divided my enjoyment of fangames along two axes: "production value" and gameplay, and the more a fangame excels along one axe, the more it can get away with in the other axe. Now, don't take that to mean that Ocean Princess is all production value and meh corridor needle; let's elaborate.
On one hand, the amount of effort put into all the small details is insane; details like the pause menu, the "overworld", the variety of player skins, the soundtrack, the story. On the other, while a good chunk of the game *is* corridor needle, there's a huge variety of gimmicks and other variations to mix things up: a speedrun segment, minigames and trials, shoot-em-ups, chase segments. On top of that there's optional stars to collect, a couple of which I skipped because they didn't feel worth my time, but I still got about 80% of them. The only stage I actively disliked was stage 10, which has very long needle saves, but all the other stages range from good to excellent, with my favorites being stage 4, stage 9 and the last two stages
The highlight of Ocean Princess, however, are the bosses and avoidances, which I won't spoil here but are some of the most creative I've seen in a fangame, particularly Nova, Medusa, The Darkness, Kraken and the final boss rush + avoidance/boss
Overall a very long adventure but not so difficult that it becomes frustrating, with great bosses and creative gimmicks and gameplay through most of it. Definitely a fangame classic that I'd recommend to any fangame player that's experienced enough to not get too frustrated with the needle segments.

A cool needle collab from some of my favorite needle makers, a couple stinky jumps here and there but overall a fun grind. My favorite stages were Nader, Stonk and Kale. Would definitely recommend for advanced players.
