Gorgeous visuals and cool gimmicks used in satisfying ways - my main gripe is the final boss has white projectiles with very light gray outlines against a cloudy background, and unlike the previous boss, the visual challenge does not enhance the experience.
Still a solid recommend to anyone who enjoys a short adventure made with love

Rating and difficulty based on regular stages.
The flow is so smooth and satisfying I felt like I'm better at needle than I actually am
Absolutely banger gameplay, nice visuals, chill experience, great final stage
Would especially recommend for players with a few 50 diff needles on their clear list, you'll definitely level up
There's just one odd screen in stage 4 that looks like ebb forgot a save or something, but the rest is impeccable.
Edit: cleared extra stages. They're definitely significantly harder than the regular stages (62ish difficulty), but overall very good, especially the =D stage. There's a couple saves with rather annoying jumps, the kind where you have to djump right before hitting a spike, or awkward platform jumps/ water grabs, but it didn't detract much from my experience (unlike the music and respawning title card SFX).
If you can handle low 60s needle without malding I would recommend trying the extra stages as well

First stage is decent, second stage is a grind, third stage starts with a really annoying jump, then there's a tedious maze with lots of dead ends that send you to penalty mini avoidances (which aren't bad tbf)
Final maze hint because I couldn't find a video and I think I explored every other path until I got to the end: the maze exit is to the right from the starting room, but you have to do a little detour down to get to the right section; if you notice a room to the right of the start that's split into three corridors with the bottom one having a patch of water with spikes, that's where you wanna go
The final boss encapsulates the whole game: good first phase, then a pointless mashing interlude, then a final phase with heavy RNG. I would have liked it much better if the mashing part was removed and the RNG final phase was made more interesting; as it is, I ended up getting consistent at the first phase until I got good RNG at the final phase.
Overall a game that started well but became less enjoyable as I progressed
