There is a jumpscare at the end of the first screen.
Other than that, the game is just normal needle aside from the second screen, which has a memey enemy. After a few screens of straightforward needle, you're thrown into a crimson boss, which is alright but not too interesting. I at least appreciate that this part of the game has some memes. For a meme game, the game is surprisingly light on humor, mostly just being normal ass needle.
Wouldn't really recommend.

On average, 2doku is better than its predecessor, but it does have some similarly low lows. The start of the game is good, with some funny picks, although it never fully outgrows the habit of picking screens that are just bad, without being funny. The game goes downhill in the last few stages, once the difficulty ramps up and the bad screens start being more than a minor inconvenience. There are some absolutely awful screens towards the end (looking at you Crazy Crazy Crazy), and fewer and fewer funny screens. The boss rush is good, and I'm glad it's a lower difficulty, but after that comes the guest stages. They have a bit of humor to be found, but a few of them are just annoyingly difficult needle that you're forced to play through. M stage is a funny joke, but not as good as F stage in the original.
Overall, I found this better than the first game, but still sorely lacking. I would easily recommend playing through stage 7 or so, but you should think long and hard about whether you find it worth it to continue after this.

I think Flying Spike is a great example of a game being unduly shit on because of the era in which it was made. If this game were to be released today, I think it would get much less of a bad rap. It comes from an era before the fangame community realized RNG could be fun, but in the modern ecosystem I think people can really appreciate the gameplay that emerges from RNG.
The most important thing to realize about this game is that the RNG is never unreasonable, and it's never the sole aspect of a save. Yes, some attempts will be impossible, that's guaranteed with such dense RNG, but possible attempts are very frequent, it never feels like you're just pressing R until you get a rare chance. Furthermore, every save has interactability. There are no stand still and pray saves, every single thing has actions you can take to mitigate the RNG. The entire game is a battle of player skill vs. ridiculous RNG. Almost every death feels like it was your fault, that no matter how unlucky you got, you still could've won if you'd played better.
Overall, Flying Spike is an easy recommendation. And not even just as a sudoku game, but rather just as a fun experience in its own right. The negative reputation this game has is, in my mind, completely unwarranted. This game is a well made exploration of luck as a mechanic. It's balanced really well, creating an experience that let's you enjoy RNG, without being stifled by it.

For: I wanna kill the 3sweepor
3sweepor is perhaps the pinnacle of the sudoku medley. It far outshines it's predecessors, managing to create a wonderful experience out of bad games. The screen picks are significantly more entertaining than they were in the first two games, each pick really showcasing the insanity that is the sudoku genre. I found myself having a blast seeing what zany bullshit would be pulled out next. That's without even getting into the wonderful original content. The stage rush is absolutely the highlight of the game, with a massive variety of content on display, from pure shitposts to a high production value magic tower. I was excited to see what lurked behind every new warp, and none of them disappointed. What a phenomenal effort on the part of all the collaborators, this section shot the game up to be one of my favorites. The ending of the game is also fun, and I enjoyed seeing all the references to earlier screen picks used in the final tower. The final boss is a climactic and fun experience, harkening back to its previous iterations without any of the foibles.
The biggest negative is the first two bosses, they're poorly balanced and have some really annoying attacks thrown in that seriously bring them down. Furthermore, difficulty balance could be considered an issue for the entire game, although not a major one.
Overall, a great window into the realm of sudoku, really showing off all the genre has to offer with hilarious screen picks and masterful original content. An easy recommendation for anyone interested in exploring the sudoku side of fangames.
