"Developed in reaction to World War I, the Dada movement consisted of artists who rejected the logic, reason, and aestheticism of modern capitalist society, instead expressing nonsense, irrationality, and anti-bourgeois protest in their works. The art of the movement spanned visual, literary, and sound media, including collage, sound poetry, cut-up writing, and sculpture. Dadaist artists expressed their discontent toward violence, war, and nationalism and maintained political affinities with radical politics on the left-wing and far-left politics."

Honestly, an abysmal medley game. 95% of the needle in this game is downright horrible, filled with named jump spam (a double diagonal every other save it seems), and generic time wasting flying spike traps. The game is just a constant slog of mediocrity broken up by saves only memorable due to their awfulness. I have only played a handful of the games on display, but I can confidently say that the game repeatedly chose some of the worst possible screens from otherwise great games.
After ages of soulless needle, the game greets you with a pleasant reprieve, original screens. Of course, by pleasant, I mean marginally better if anything. The gimmicks are cool, but despite several opportunities for puzzles, this aspect is barely explored and the aspects are just haphazardly slapped on more generic awful needle. The shift area is by far the worst execution I have ever seen of this gimmick, with nonsensical broken feeling collisions, and it manages to turn the gimmick into generic needle where you occasionally press a different button. The eversion area is frankly garbage, with the gimmick used for nothing except tedious backtracking, with trivially easy saves that last several minutes a piece. This area took me at least half an hour, and yet was the easiest part of the game. It's so mind-numbingly boring I would almost rather go back to the diagonal spam.
Overall, there is practically nothing worth playing in this game. You would be much better served by almost any other needle game.

Unfortunately, I think this winds up being one of the weaker neon games. Of course, that's a high standard so it's still a decent game. The needle winds up using way too many uncomfortable maneuvers, such as several awful platform under block jumps. The dotkid is used worse than in other entries in the series, but was still a welcome break. I wish it was around for a more sizeable amount of the game. Overall, the needle is pretty good for the most part, but with a high number of bad jumps that drag down way too many saves.

For: I wanna be the SSR2
For: I wanna be the SSR2
SSR 2 was my first Rukito game, and it has brought me into the noble ranks of Rukito enjoyers. The needle does a lot with a little, having only jtool gimmicks and yet creating really clever maneuvers and almost entirely fun saves. Of course, being a Rukito game, one of the main draws is the traps, differentiating this game from standard needle. I found these to rarely be obnoxious, instead being decently funny on a few occasions, but mostly just serving to add an interesting twist to a save, turning a jump into a more complex and interesting affair. The infamous final save, while certainly harder than the rest, was not as large of a spike as I was led to believe, and it provided an enjoyable climax to the game, wrapping together ideas from throughout the rest of the game.
I consider the boss to ultimately be pretty weak. I found myself in a Stockholm Syndrome situation with it, where I didn't enjoy it for the first few hours but by the last hour I was having a good amount of fun. However, it's still filled with a litany of poor choices, and overall my experience leaned negative. The second phase was particularly brutal, with blue on blue making the attacks hard to read, and a lot of RNG that could easily screw you, and which felt hard to avoid.
Overall, this game is an easy recommendation for needle fans, being super fun and memorable despite its lack of gimmicks or flashy effects. It has made me hungry for more Rukito, and proven the merits of this style of design.

For: I wanna Walpurgis
Walpurgis is a really fun adventure game that brings a lot of different things to the table. The first stage is a funny trap focused stage, with several good multi-stage traps. The second stage is the highlight of the game, featuring a cool metroidvania of sorts where you collect items to unlock other areas. The screens are designed well so backtracking is never annoying, and there are some clever puzzley elements. This stage also has a mini-avoidance with a time gimmick that makes it pretty interesting to play. The third stage is a bit weaker imo, it has a few annoying saves, with some awkward traps. The fourth stage is a bit unmemorable, but it has some fun gimmicks and enjoyable cycle-based gameplay.
Another highlight of the game is the bosses. They're easier than the platforming, but they're really fun, with some cool attacks that are fun to figure out. I do wish the game was consistent with the Madoka theming, one boss is randomly not a Madoka character, and it means 2 of the Madoka girls get left out, which is a shame but not necessarily something worth taking points off for. The final boss was a bit anticlimactic, although I like how it brought in the sniper gimmick from the stage.
