Nostalgia features various classic game inspired stages that are pretty much translated 1 to 1, with different obstacles and fangame physics. I thought this was really cool, especially for the Battletoads stage (since that's the one I've actually played so seeing the Arctic Caverns re-imagined brought a lot of the titular nostalgia). My biggest persistent issue is visual clutter in a few areas, particularly in the Contra stages, where the bright and detailed backgrounds don't work well with the small object sprites of fangames. I also wasn't a fan of the Doom area. I respect the detail and creativity that went into it, but I personally didn't find it fun, as the enemies are so tanky that often the best approach seemed to be to just try to run through and try to not take too much damage.
The final boss is my favourite part of the game, though yes, it's also ridiculously harder than the rest of the game, taking up most of my playtime. Be aware of that going in, and you'll probably have a fun time with this.

Neat looking avoidance with a cool song. There's a lot of moving around the changing arena, which I always enjoy.

Lengthy and challenging trap adventure game. The traps in this game are generally simple, but cleverly placed and often adding to the platforming in interesting ways. The standout area is of course the one with the iconic penalty room, which seems like something that should be horribly annoying but somehow manages to be hilarious.
I generally enjoyed the bosses (including Lakitu, which seems to be the one everyone despises for some reason), with the exception of the first boss which you can only damage on one attack and the incredibly generic Miku fight. The final boss is quite the gauntlet, but an enjoyable one overall.
If you have any tolerance for trap games at all, Metamorphosis is probably worth your time.

Solid needle game. It looks nice, all the platforming flows well and the difficulty curve is smooth, if slightly steep in the last stage.

Adventure game with a ton of different stages. Most of them are fairly short, but just long enough to do some interesting stuff with the gimmicks they introduce. I liked the vast majority of the gimmicks in this game a lot, with some favourites including the spider stage and the "spinny platforms on rails" stage. There's a few places I wasn't a fan of, mostly at the very start of the game and the infamous ice stage, but those are exceptions. The bosses are all fun and well-balanced, capping off with a pretty spectacular avoidance (though I personally found it quite easy outside of the platforming segments). Absolutely worth your time.
