Good atmosphere, and the interactions with the ghost are hella cute, but gameplay-wise this game did little for me. Most of the rooms are fine, but half of them are just trying random stuff till it works. Particularly the one where the Boo follows you around and has to go into the switch made no sense to me, as it doesn't follow standard Boo rules and just seems kind of arbitrary. The boss continues the pattern of "just try random stuff till it works", but at least it was cute and led up to a nice wholesome ending.

Really unique and clever idea where you "testplay" a garbage tier unplayable fangame while the creator berates and messes with you. The actual gameplay is quite shallow, you're not required to beat anything legitimately past the first area, but the humour is more than enough to be enjoyable for its short duration.

Whatever one's opinion on this game, the fact remains that there just isn't currently any other game of this difficulty with the level of content and production as K3. That's why it's still THE go-to for any player that wants to take the plunge into the big leagues.
Which of course isn't to say the game isn't very, very flawed. We'll get to the bosses, but for me it's mostly the platforming I take issue with. Half the screen picks or buffs range from mediocre to bad. Most of the best stuff is post boss rush, Rukito area and M-stage are solid, even though for me they were uncomfortably difficult even compared to most of the bosses.
Speaking of bosses, here's a quick rundown with my feelings represented by emoji:
:D
Shine and Bright: Very dynamic and fast-paced fight. Nothing really bad to say about this one.
Colonel: I can't speak to whether the nerfs improved or ruined this fight, but I enjoyed him a lot. Just simple but good barrage with the classic platform for spice.
Influka: Awesome song, much hype, a bit heavy on the patterns for my liking but they're not too hard to learn and most of the flashbacks being in random order helps with the learning not getting tedious.
Cyber: Okay so I'm biased towards barrage fights, sue me. Definitely a banger of a fight. The spooky shiny ghost green attack is the most impossible shit in this whole game.
Kamilia: This fight is so full of unique and interesting attacks that it honestly might be my favourite in the whole game. Attacks like Insects, Darkness and Insanity are all really creative and super fun to slowly get better at. Phase 3 is suitably intense, I could hardly ask for a more fitting finale.
:)
Flandre: So easy compared to everything else that it doesn't leave as much of an impression, but I still quite enjoyed it.
The Guy: The fight itself is pretty fun and not too hard aside from the scythe attack which takes quite a bit of getting used to. Benzen is super dumb and totally the kind of thing I would normally not think twice about using a video for...but for some reason I didn't, and it was surprisingly kind of fun to come up with my own dumb strat.
Piano: Can be very rude in a lot of places, and the music can get kind of grating, but slow attack is super fun and there aren't a lot of attacks I particularly disliked.
:|
Dotkid Miku: Outrage is cool and you feel like a god when you pass it, but most of the fight is really just a waiting room and the song is really boring.
Emperor Miku: I'm in a weird position with this fight where I really like most of the attacks, but grinding it was agonizingly frustrating, mostly because phase 4 is the most galaxy brain pattern I've ever dealt with and I STILL don't really understand how to do it.
Lunarmagic: It's pretty fun and fast-paced, but the RNG is more disgusting here than on any other fight, and having all the learny stuff in the second half is meh.
:(
Doruppi: With apologies to cute Miku, this is the kind of pattern fight that I just absolutely don't care for: all precise safe spots and tight movements, with some pretty unfun RNG on top. Fun to watch, but just a slog to learn.

Probably the gold standard for medley games. Screen picks are pretty much good across the board, with a great variety in needle styles and gimmicks making for a wonderful cross-section of what fangames offer. The bosses and the guest stages near the end of the game are original content, and they're mostly great as well. Particular shoutouts to Klazen's and Kady's stages.
Besides the main game, there's a Sudoku stage, various separate challenges and more. The game is absolutely massive, but the part I want to mainly talk about is Bifficult mode, since I did spend some 200 hours on it. It's one of the most fleshed-out hard modes in any fangame, going far beyond removing saves or adding spikes. Bosses have buffs and extra phases, some screens go so far as to introduce entirely new mechanics such as the fruit on the Great Buddha screens, and the last two stages contain some all-new screens just using the mechanics and aesthetics of the games they're based on. Also there's a sick avoidance with one of my all-time favourite avoidance tracks. The difficulty balance is definitely a lot more up and down than it is in the main game, but if you've got the stomach for the brutal needle it throws at you near the end (I'd rate Bifficult at 85 difficulty), it's well worth a play.

The platforming in this game peaks early with the first few stages and particularly the secrets. The maze could be fun if it didn't include that silly jump up into the screen transition, and after that it's just a series of progressively more generic and poorly balanced stages. Well, the final stage is actually pretty good, except for The One Save that's randomly super hard. Oh well. The thing is, you only play this game for the bosses, and they're gonna be the majority of your playtime anyway, so I don't hold the mediocre platforming against it too much.
The first three bosses are decent if unspectacular cherry bosses, followed by a fun little Ruka avoidance. Then there's the Heaventrap boss, which I didn't like much at all. It's the kind of boss that's easy most of the time till you get some awkward combination of attacks and it suddenly isn't. The fact that it takes a long time and the hard parts are at the end doesn't help.
But it's all about those last two bosses. These made up about 80% of my playtime, and I really enjoyed them! The Rin & Len avoidance has a pretty hype song, and some really fun attacks, especially the orange barrages for the choruses. I'm very much not a fan of the pretty precise pattern at the very end, but otherwise it's a good time. Everyone knows the final boss, and at 6 minutes it's quite the intimidating gauntlet. The attacks (almost) all follow a pattern of part targeted, part RNG, but they're all distinctly different variations on that core idea. It's a really solid boss that deserves to be as iconic as it is, and I'm glad to have finally experienced it.
