For: I wanna - Papercut
Avoidance is made from 5 phases, and surprisingly, unlike I wanna go Rainbow Road, where laggs can be already at first minute, here even if you have quite weak computer like me, the serious laggs can only be noticed on 2nd couplet, which is the 3rd phase, but it won't help you much, as I noticed from other people clear videos. Anyway, now shortly about each phase.
First phase is known for having quite long introduction, following several quite easy to figure out pattern attacks and literally one annoying RNG attack, which can be quite unfair at some point. After that thereare some pattern attacks and easy RNG, which shouldn't bring too much of a problem. Visuals are pretty, even space background fits well.
Second phase is entirely pattern, and patterns are really easy if you know what to do. The only annoying thing for me was visualisation. I really disliked that space image and rainbow fruits, which just looked out of topic in comparison with first phase.
Third phase is designed similarly like first phase, but with more softer and more aesthetically fitting space image and attacks, which I enjoyed more than in first phase. Even though some effects create laggs, which is annoying thing, because avoidance does not have synchronisation if there are laggs. Anyway I liked that spinning from side to side spike thing and I liked idea of random projectiles, even though it can be from time to time unfair. The only annoying thing is the very end of the phase, where you have to somehow manage to dodge aiming and then jump at the end of the phase, or you will be killed by nothing, but the thing is that you have to hope that there won't be any projectiles or you will have some trouble.
Fourth phase is designed like 2nd one, and I dislike it. That design creates too much stress for the player and the feeling that you want to drop avoidance won't left you. Anyway patterns itself are quite original, but only if you look beforehand on them, also it is not necessary to be in the middle on the spike attack if you do haruru 234 strat, which makes attack a lot easier. Everything after that attack can be first tried if you know what to do. Anyway attack can seem quite complicated, but similarly like 2nd phase it can be easier to learn, since I think there is only one random attack, which is still easy enough to react to.
The finale is original, I have to say. Climbing up on blocks to escape chasing fruits was original, however I died once, even though attack is very easy. Do not jump on blocks unless they have white border, or you are going to die immediately. I didn't know that and that was unpleasant death even though it didn't take too much to make second attempt on 5th phase. Anyway, when you are on top, the is going to start outro and you have cleared an avoidance.
This avoidance has many unusual things and is very well done, however in the same time I felt like that I really wanted to stop playing it. It is very annoying at many points. It does not have synchronisation of music if computer has laggs, it has annoying random attacks, even though there are just few of those and many pattern attacks are not more pleasant either. Also even though at many times this avoidance has many pretty visuals, but in the same time it has also annoying visuals too and soundtrack itself annoyed me many times, even though I was humming sometimes, while listening it, which is quite rare. Author tried its best, but game could be balanced better, because at this point this more that kind of avoidance, which is good for watching clear video on youtube rather than playing it by yourself. I wouldn't recommend if you have taste like mine.
For: I wanna be the lapis lazuli
Edit: Actually forgot to mention that good thing in this avoidance is synchronisation of music and FPS of the game, which means that if you have small lags, then music will also lag, which means that music and visuals are synchronised together, and that is a good thing, because many games doesn't have it, sadly.
Edit 2: By the way I was told, that it isn't an anime soundtrack, but original soundtrack. Link to it if someone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POCs38Rputs.
Edit 3 (30/12/2023) :
I have re-beaten this avoidance and oh boy, this was annoying as hell.
I originally gave 6.5 and 46, now I think it completely different.
This time this avoidance took me twice as much, and I died to almost every attack, including post-finale. This avoidance is very badly balanced, it has potential, but once you get until 2nd water attack, you realize that everything is ruined. From 2nd water attack balance is really terrible. Water attack itself is fine, but then you have attack on which it is very hard to react, then white fruits which do not give enough time to react and last chorus is just a madness. You really have to pray to not get bad RNG and to stand on save-spot on post-finale to not die.
And once you play more and more, you will notice that bad RNG happens on first part as well.
This avoidance had potential, but it is just ruined. And it is much harder than I initially thought. Once again, I was very lucky 4 years ago.
Absolutely would not recommend!
For: I wanna fib
When I started, I had serious Déjà vu from I wanna daydream. I had feeling that I am playing I wanna daydream, but couldn't understand why. Looking once again on sunbla's video of I wanna daydream, I realized that this avoidance was also used in that game. Actually 5 out of 8 avoidances can be played in Dagger's other games (if you are interested, then those 5 games are following: I wanna be Assaulted, I wanna be with you, I Wanna Exterminate the Monsters, I wanna fib and I wanna eat the Cranberry (I think it is the only game, which was relased after final relase of I wanna daydream). Pretty fun fact I guess, however I don't know did Dagger copied this avoidance to I wanna daydream or it was added first in early versions of I wanna daydream, since both avoidances looked very similar to each other (I guess they are the same). If you are wondering, then according to Dagger's old blog, I wanna fib is his 22nd fangame, but I wanna daydream 26th one. Also for some reason I wanna fib was released on 1st of April, even though it is totally a serious game.
Now about the game itself. It is one avoidance game with soundtrack ウソ, sang by Gumi. Soundtrack is very well picked and I really like it. For some reason soundtrack really helped and made the whole experience even more fun than if it was different soundtrack. Many people consider avoidance as slow-paced, but I wouldn't call it as very slow and wouldn't even talk as an avoidance where you could relax. RNG is readable even though may seem quite challenging for very beginners and some patterns, especially at the very end, seems quite tricky to figure out. Visuals are really well-made and are eye-pleasing. Attacks are synched very well with the music and everything looks quite organic. I don't know what people disliked in this avoidance, but for me, this is just perfect! Maybe some RNG attacks could be more original, but I think that other than that I don't have many complaints. Yes, it is not high visual effect avoidances like I wanna be the Aquamarine and I wanna be the Pendulum ones, but it was not required, in my opinion, current effects make the whole experience satisfying. Yes, you should be careful and very concentrated all 4 minutes, which wasn't really and probably is reason, why I cannot give avoidance 9 or higher mark, but those are details, and if you do have this private game, I would highly recommend this to anyone - for advanced players this is going to be great avoidance to spend a few minutes, but for beginners this is great advantage to have a challenge for an hour or so - and in my opinion, everyone is going to be satisfied!
Definitely underrated game, in my opinion, and good job, Dagger!
For: I wanna see the starry sky
For: I wanna kill the Machine
Pretty long unfinished Korean meme adventure, which occurs in such a wonderful medleys as I wanna break the Series Z 2 and I Wanna Kill The Happil 2 . Game has its own story, but sadly it is Korean, so no opinion about that. Game itself is made as I wanna be the Boshy-like game, so it has a lot in common with it. Platforming of this game gradually becomes harder with each stage, so if first stages may seem too easy even on normal mode, then later ones may seem a lot harder. Every stage is designed really differently from each other,so each stage has its own special gimmicks and each stage feels well-designed. I really liked idea of forest stage and ice stage, where gimmicks were used very smart and didn't felt too tedious or annoying, however many of those were pretty tough. The first stages may seem pretty low quality, especially Megaman stage, but I don't have many complaints about it. My main complaint is about some saves in cave section, where are timed blocks, which turns on and off after some time, because those were just timed too precisely and can be annoying to play. I waited for mining gimmicks, like in I Wanna Graduate From DT , because in cave it had diamond pickaxe from Minecraft, but nothing from these kind of gimmicks were implemented in the game. I liked memes in the stages, even though it seemed quite weird at some points and quite off-topic, but, I was OK with it. Bosses on the other hand are mostly pretty tough. Just starting with the Rock boss, which has attacks on which you have to react momentarily and after you somehow beat it, you realize that it has 2nd phase on which there will be these same attacks and some more. Also 2nd ice stage boss felt very precise, especially figuring out strategy for electric projectiles. And I don't even understand why the final boss even exist. Like, why? It is just copy-pasted Ryu boss from I wanna be the Boshy, with one changed attack. Why, creator? Iwas told, that creator also had copied many things from other games, like I wanna take the Timemachine, so I am kind of disappointed about that. Anyway, weird thing is that I still had fun time playing this. Also this game has hidden treasure boxes, like from, already mentioned, I wanna be the Boshy, but what those items give you, I don't even know. I liked the qualityand production value of this game though, and I still think that it was fun experience, however the fact that the game is unfinished isn't very pleasant. I don't know how hard is easy difficulty, but I would probably recommend normal difficulty if you are upper-beginner player and if you want to play some pretty good adventure game for a few hours.
