For: I wanna be the Frustration
I found out about this avoidance in July 15th 2020 if I recall correctly. It was less than a week before FSR avoidance was announced.
I was on Naztore's stream. He got bored after a grind Supernal Beings (I think) and I suggested him a 'Avoidance roulette' . Naztore agreed.
And so after few rolls, we got to this game. I said Naztore that I do not recognize this game. Just a random avoidance game made by pretty unknown creator.
It was a short needle game which I cleared in 1 minute, but Naztore like in 5 or so. Needle has generic restarting guy rock and generic jumps with unfitting visuals.
It seemed OK until we saw avoidance.
We looked pretty quickly to the video and streamer Naztore concluded that it looks too hard for him. I said that it looks pretty fine in difficulty, however, quality was very generic to try it out. I couldn't imagine that I will return to this game after some time...
Yes, FSR avoidance included this game in gold section.
So I decided to try this avoidance out.
And, that was something horrible... Generic, uninspired, unfair, unbalanced and uninteresting Miku fight.
Short description:
1. Easy start with easy RNG and introduction to colourful fruit aiming which is not gonna change through the whole avoidance.
2. Geometrical progression from 3 random bursts -[url]https://youtu.be/C_024qPN6KA?t=42[/url] . First burst is free, second one is readable and third one is unreadable.
3. Several random attacks which now are harder. Nothing too special.

5. OK, but quite weird bouncing.
6. Green and yellow attack which is the only more or less fun attack. Yet it is very stressful one, especially, when you have to read white bouncing.
7. Pretty tough curving + bouncing.

9. Reminiscence of the beginning. Do not forget to trigger aiming correctly!
Why this avoidance is uninspired and uninteresting?
1. Author did not bother about visuals. He uses same visuals he used for the needle. Seriously. Using some shiny balls in the avoidance does not make it good.
2. When you pray to not get wall, you can conclude that something is wrong with avoidance.
3. Visuals and colour set in grey does not help either with the music. It just gets in nerves after some time.
This game was supposed to be a birthday present for snow. I do not know did he like his present or no, but I can say that I would dislike it. These 2.5 hours were just a pure pain and frustration all over the place.
I know that tastes are different, but I highly doubt that there are many people who would like this avoidance. It is not easy and is not fun to play. I had played some unfun and very hard avoidances in many games. But even worst avoidances in 2011 game like I wanna be the Goshi Barrage II seemed more entertaining and original than this one avoidance. And this is 2015 avoidance, I would like to notice your attention. I just cannot believe that this was taken for FSR avoidance...
Well, at least now I have become a 'frustration' . Cool.
Highly would not recommend.
For: I wanna be getting higher and higher
I wanna be getting higher and higher starts with short joke screen in which kid can destroy all spikes except for the last gate jump. You expect this game to be funny trap game? Well. You are wrong. This is avoidance game. Trial and error avoidance.
In this fangame, as you can tell, kid's goal is to getting higher and higher. However, for the sake of originality author modulated kid's journey getting up and down all the time.
At the beginning you are at the ground level, a little bit later you will have to get up, then down and at the end kid will be so tired from travelling, that he will decide to go up with infinite jump.
While kid is having good time in climbing, the screen visuals are changing too. It gets darker and brighter, faster and slower, more fair and unfair... Well, that is a different story. In short, kid is going to have a fun time. Except it is not fun at all.
Creator of this avoidance forgot that having dynamic gameplay is not equal of having fun and fair gameplay. Some attacks are literally free aiming or RNG attacks. And, in contrary, there are ton of unfun RNG attacks, which can give questionable RNG. Especially, I was not a fan of RNG in the first phase, as well as when you at finale have to go down and soon after up with an infinite jump. My apologies, but you just have to pray that fruit is not going to hit into kid's face. Also locus-like attack going down is actually hard to perform correctly. Inter allia, why there is a pattern after RNG star attack? You do not have much space to dodge in the middle.
Of course, there are fun attacks like this star and green fruit pattern -[url]https://youtu.be/4HfS0f9jjyE?t=123[/url] – and I was OK with these fruits -[url]https://youtu.be/4HfS0f9jjyE?t=109[/url] – but I was unpleasantly surprised by many RNG attacks. Avoidance took me almost 3 hours and I expected to have fun time as other players. And yet I was disappointed.
This endurance could be great despite its simpleness. However, in the current state avoidance feels very unbalanced and totally not fun unless you got lucky. I disliked this mix of generic boring attacks and interesting but too fast to react fruits. I am not saying it is too bad, because despite everything I had some fun with locus-like attack and reading crazy RNG was a pleasure. But those are few attempts. Most of time I felt irritation and dissatisfaction. Moreover, this game was in my plans before FSR avoidance project, since I thought that this game is fun. I was wrong. It is not easy and is not really worth of your time, unless you are god in avoidances to pass through quickly enough to not notice bad parts of this avoidance.
Would not recommend.
For: The REAL JRocker Area
Game was made in a week and is considered rather a meme than a serious project, and is even considered to be made bad on purpose (for example, in SUDALV's opinion) . Yet I disagree with this.
The REAL JRocker Area avoidance is pretty calm and uses different rainbow backgrounds, which fit very well to the soundtrack. Maybe song is a little bit slow. But I cannot say that it is lullaby-like. Song progresses dynamically onwards and and avoidance too.
Gameplay is pretty fun and unusual too. It has some flaws and quite annoying attacks like first ring attack, but in the same time there are several unique as well. This attack in particular is very fun and looks cool – [url]https://youtu.be/RvMk1RvZkew?t=94[/url] .
I am still unsure about some visual and gameplay choices. The fact that fruit trails kill you (about which you are being notified in the game) seemed a little awkward. Same thing for the finale where suddenly there is a splash of kids – it has vibes as if this avoidance truly was made for some meme collab.
Difficulty is not very high, but you have to be careful and play pretty well to clear this fast. The most annoying and less original attacks are also the hardest too. I am talking about first ring attack. You really have to do weird dodges to pass that attack. I also though at first that fruit lines is also hard attack, but you just have to move around anti-clockwise and everything should be fine.
This game also has an extra, but I have not tried it. I have just heard that it is a little bit ridiculous in difficulty.
Overall, it was pretty fine experience. I think it is pretty good if you do not have anything better to play. It is pretty chill, but do not expect avoidance where you do not have to concentrate. There are some tricky attacks on which you do not have time to 'sleep' .
I think that most of avoidance players should be capable to beat this, to be honest.
Would recommend if you can beat this under 2 hours.
For: I wanna be the Galaxy Friend
Avoidance has pretty simple attacks – spirals, crossfires, bouncing etc. But it still feels very dynamic and fun to play. I expected it to be extremely hard and precise. In contrary, it is actually not as hard as the sequel of this game - I wanna be the Galaxy Friend Remix - , which I tried for few hours and which felt very difficult. The original I wanna be the Galaxy Friend I beat in 52 minutes.
I do not have much more to say, to be honest. Feel free to try it if your skill level is above average, since it is going to come in handy if you want both to have fun and to beat it as fast as possible. Otherwise, you probably should try something easier. Yet it is not 60 in difficulty, as others say. At least in my opinion.
Anyway, I would recommend this game!

What the hell was I thinking??? This is not 53 difficulty and 6.7 rating man...
When I tried re-clearing this game, it took me more than 8 hours, when originally I have beaten in sub 1 hour. I do not remember having any lag, even though back in those days there was no DBGHELPER. But maybe something was desycnhed??? Or maybe I was extremely lucky. I have no ideas, but this is much harder than I initially thought. Attacks are really hard to read and I died several times on finale, it is quite tough.
I got first time until finale in 1 hour, but soon after I realized how much I misrated this game. So the new rating is regarding the current situation.
I still could not feel sense of square hitboxes though, so it was not a big issue. But overall I did start to hate this avoidance much more than initially. It was pure frustration for me.
Highly would not recommend unless you are sure in your skills being high enough to beat this avoidance in reasonable time.
For: I wanna be the Cute Princess
Me after beating the game: 'Annoying needle, which tests your diagonal ability followed by cute, but boring, frustrating and unfun avoidance. Again, why I played it?'
No, I am not trying to offend Habluka or anything. It is my first game, which I beat by him, and I expected more, because reviews on delicious-fruit were mostly positive about it.
And yet I was disappointed.
Needle visually looks appealing and music very fitting, but I didn't expect to see 2 needle screens, which for the most part consists of different diagonal jumps. The only original and fun thing was the last corner jump, which placement was quite original. And it was still pretty mediocre. But I thought that maybe the main point was to make avoidance, not the needle. Overall, I played this game just to try the avoidance, you know.
Oh, well, it was my mistake...
Avoidance started promising with cool retro effects and Japanese lyrics showing up in the game window (sadly you won't be able to read them, so no use from them for me) . And then I realised that something is wrong. Sometimes I have feeling that something just does not look well at all. And here many things looked out of place for me. Whimsical usage of white & black screens; making black screen as an effect, but allowing to see the kid; changing gravity, which at first does kill and short after does not; annoying sprite, which really interferes at some point (especially, towards the end); random bursts, which are made as a pattern, but which are pretty hard to react, and requires them to be known beforehand, and a lot more.
Like really, gameplay has several attacks on which you can just hold the button or not do anything, and then there is suddenly second verse, on which some very random gimmicks are used. Warping from ground to the top and gravity lines are not bad ideas, but they are actually a little bit annoying to perform, because it is very easy to make a mistake. Besides I am not even talking about the very last section, which is actually hard. I first-tried it, but I think it is not easy at all even with an HP. I liked somehow it, but I think if you die few times there, then you will stop liking that section.
I don't want to get in depths, just going to say, that avoidance would be more interesting if it wasn't so experimental. Pure white & black with pink just does not match together, in my opinion. I think even using pink for everything or similar colours would feel a lot better. Also RNG could be more balanced, I think.
I liked the whole concept, and I think Habluka has good potential to do, but I could lie if I said that I loved this game. It has potential, but its realization is very mediocre. Needle lacks of being fun or original, but avoidance lacks of being fun and creative. It has potential and good ideas, but I just cannot like it, when I have to get through ton of free attacks just to try some very annoying ones, while visuals totally make me feel confused about their pretty random usage. Of course, I liked the production value, and some attacks felt fun, like the beginning and some aiming attack ideas, but it is just a small part of the game.
I don't feel that I need more to say about the game. I didn't analyze literally every attack, but I think you got my point - I disliked 2 hours (35 minutes for needle and everything else for avoidance) I spent for this game.
Wouldn't recommend, for me it is just overrated.
Play better some snow games (sorry, I am not offending you, Habluka).
