A very enjoyable adventure game consisting of around 4 stages. Difficulty-wise nothing feels too challenging, although a couple of jumps in the final stage were noticeably trickier than everything else. The bosses were simple and fun, without ever getting too complicated. The music selection is also very varied, as expected from a Wonderful game.
Just a really solid fangame. Would strongly recommend, as it's definitely worth your time.

Pastel is a very varied and interesting game, with a whole bunch of different gimmicks and bosses to occupy your time with. This is of course both a good and a bad thing, with a small portion of the sections being a little lacklustre compared to the stellar and very unique gimmicks elsewhere in the game. On a whole though, it's definitely worth your time.
The game is split up into 3 paths, giving you the chance to start with any you like. Each path has a short needle segment, leading up to a couple of portals, each with their own unique and often clever gimmick and accompanying boss. The majority of these are really well done and cleverly thought out, such as the Waddle Dee co-op segment where you protect your little friend from cyan cherries, or the very well thought-out spike-shooting stage, where shooting blue spikes create water blocks, green spikes allow objects to move through solid walls and so on. The only part I don't really enjoy is the giant climb on the bottom path, whereupon it's just fulljump after fulljump of somewhat awkwardly high spike formations. A weak segment, but not enough to detract from the rest of the game.
Upon beating all paths, you will gain access to the final stage, which is primarily a needle segment with some traps and quirks, before reaching the final boss. This feels like a nice finish to the game, and whilst it would've been cool to see this more gimmick-orientated, I don't really have any complaints. Some of the needle is fairly challenging however, which may cause some players a bit of difficulty.
Gameplay aside, visually and musically it isn't really a powerhouse of a fangame. Restarting music is prevalent and whilst there is a mod to fix that, various songs seem louder than others and a couple of songs aren't the greatest to listen to (I'm looking at you Winky Man). The visuals are also rather simple, but there's nothing really wrong with that.
Overall if you're looking for a game with some really unique and clever gimmicks and interesting design, you'll find it here. Pastel definitely deserves more attention and despite some rough patches here and there, it's a really solid game.

A very challenging and enjoyable Rukito-style needle game. The game consists of 4 stages and 2 bosses, one of which was very...unexpected. The needle has many things you'd expect to see in a Rukito-style game such as gravity flipping, triggers and wacky save paths, but with Stonk's own style mixed in. This makes for a really fun experience where no save is quite like the other, and it ended up staying fun all the way throughout. There were a few saves I enjoyed noticeably less but never to a point where it became unfun or frustrating.
Overall this ended up being one of the needle games I've had this much fun with in quite a while. If you don't mind a challenge then your time will be well spent here. Would love to see another game of this style from the creator in the future!

Peppermint Dandy is the second needle game in my Uhuhu-inspired needle series. I continued off the same ideas I built the previous one from, basing the game around interesting and unusual jumps whilst trying to stay intuitive to the player. I attempted to lower the overall difficulty slightly as well as make it slightly shorter than Butterscotch, which whilst I did manage, I think still could've been trimmed down a tiny bit more. I ended up particularly fond of my multiple trigger save, and would've liked to have done more of these but that's something I can keep in mind for a future game. Overall this was again very fun to make, and hopefully you have fun searching for the Peppermint Dandy!

Overlord is quite simply an amazing fangame. It boasts a sizeable explorable world in true metroidvania fashion, full with a wide range of differently themed areas, bosses and gimmicks, all of which felt designed in a very enjoyable way without ever getting too difficult or relying on precise platforming.
Exploring the world was great fun with my only real complaint towards it being I wish there was some form of speed mechanic such as a dash or a slide. This was moreso towards the start, but there'd be a fair few long stretches where I'd be walking without much interaction from any enemies or hazards, and it'd be nice to speed up these segments a little or just give me something to do when I'm backtracking through areas to look for secrets or extra stuff.
The bosses all felt extremely varied and fun to play, alongside some very sensible telegraphing of attacks. Even towards the end where the difficulty had started to take a step-up, I still felt like everything was reasonable and designed with care. Some enemy patterns got a pretty frustrating in the final couple stages, and one particular segment in the ice area felt overkill at times, but these were minor hiccups in what otherwise felt like a really solid difficulty curve.
Overlord does feature a secret in each stage which combine to give an extra boss and reward. I initially didn't plan on going for these but upon stumbling upon a couple of secrets, I ended up committing to them and had a great time. They all are themed around more retro games and have a more classic fangame feel to theme. My highlight of each was the elaborate trap Mattin placed in each one, which never failed to crack a smile.
Definitely one of my favourite adventure fangames. Even despite some small gripes such as a few slow and empty segments or some overly tricky patches, it's all around a fantastic production and a very impressive piece of work. Awesome stuff.
