Stumbled across this randomly and it was worth it.
Utilizes the pretty standard formula of a few screens of needle and an avoidance, though rather than successive they're in a hub, leaving you free to do them in either order or just a single one.
The needle was really great - it had a downward progression to it while utilizing the screen space well and managed to make use of really interesting layouts and creative jumps while keeping difficulty down. Also had a cute little easter egg.
Avoidance was solid as well. Heavily RNG based with 3 hp, but designed in such a way that it doesn't screw you. Its all quite fair, though there's probably a couple attacks where a bit more telegraphing would've helped (which seemed to have been the creators intent, rather than forcing the player to learn through trial and error). Its a great intermediate level, lots of room for error while still being challenging and having a good helping of different attack patterns for a player to improve off of.
Overall its short but worth it. Recommended for players a few fangames in looking to polish their needle and RNG reading skills, or anyone looking for a nice light challenge.

I Wanna Shiver is a 50 floor needle collab with a lot of popular names behind it. 10 Makers each supplying a 5 room stage, with the last one being much greater in scale. Each stage is very distinctive and presents itself with a different style representative of the maker.
Taking a deeper look at the game, there's generally two aspects to consider in a needle game - the level design and the production. The production quality from an aesthetics perspective is phenomenal. As you'd expect with PlasmaNapkin being the lead producer, his technical skill is very apparent from the getgo, and stays that way throughout from start to finish whether its bonus touches in other makers stages to the gorgeous final stage. There's a bunch of neat features which do something rarely offered such as the double jump indicator and the shoe color switching. However, its a little inconsistent as its also missing basic functions like pausing or audio options - nothing grievous by any means. I also found the inconsistency with the saves somewhat tedious, as there were stages with save zones that worked great but others had touch saves which frequently limited your save zones - it was never terrible but it was annoying at times. The unfortunate part production wise for me was the hub. It looked neat, its obviously technically impressive for anyone who has spent time in gamemaker but its functionally terrible - its incredibly slow and difficult to get around and very awkward to navigate if you actually want to get back to anywhere. Since the game is purely linear though this doesn't really matter much though (which sadly makes it feel like a lot of wasted effort).
From a level design standpoint, its mostly terrific. Since this is fundamentally the most important part of a needle game this really is what makes the game amazing. The first 9 stages each have their own flair and have great variety of design and progress well (though I can't say I liked them all, they were all easy to appreciate the creativity and design that went in). It caps it off with a much larger, more expansive final stage with some amazing visuals and creative, complex design. Unfortunately this stage is also substantially more difficult than the rest of the game and feels kind of out of place, with long strings of precise segments. It ended up feeling like a totally different game and I would've much preferred it to not feel like it lost continuity.
Nonetheless, this is a needle game that is absolutely worth playing which show cases a ton of different styles. As a fan of continuity and consistency I feel like it misses a few marks but its minor flaws are easily overlooked and anyone looking for a moderate-advanced needle game will find something that suits their tastes.

Based on v1.001
This is a two stage primarily needle game. Its got some pretty nice production value and some good ideas, but a lot of weak execution.
The left stage contains an interesting gimmick that works well, but felt underutilized. A lot of really repetitive actions with it and a lot of unachieved potential, but still pretty cool. It also has a weird segue into a mostly one-jump per room needle section that felt wildly out of place.
The right stage is a primarily needle area that is mostly pretty good with some interesting level design (wish those two concepts between the stages had been combined) but kind of bland. It occasionally mixes it up, but it ends up being pretty hit or miss since sometimes it throws an interesting section with some classic gimmicks or moving objects, but other times it might be visually difficult to see and unexpected, or one instance of a really tedious trap that didn't feel like it added anything.
Both stages contain a short mini-boss avoidance, these are reasonably interesting without too much to say. The left stage mixes in the gimmick which is neat.
Finally it ends in a pretty long barrage avoidance. The avoidance has some interesting ideas and grants a pretty substantial amount of hp so its reasonably fair except for a few parts that kind of bring it down. One early attack is barely visible, and there's two transitions that instagib you regardless of hp that really hurt the flow, though atleast they're pretty early on so its not that tragic.
Overall its pretty decent, there's a lot of good production and a solid foundation but it felt like it just needed some refinement. I'd recommend it if you don't mind a bit of a bumpy ride and want to do a long hp avoidance. Seems like the maker is still patching the game though, so that refinement may very well come.

Its a very clean (if a little bland) looking game with consistently interesting needle design. Some 20 screens which get progressively bigger. Excellent mid-length intermediate needle game with moderate trigger use.

Overall a top tier gimmick needle game. Production is very slick throughout and the extra touches were nice. The 'secrets' are pretty much mandatory to get anywhere near the full value of the game so expect that, but the game is fairly reasonable about letting you get back to ones you missed.
The post-secret content is probably the highlight of the game platforming wise, though the 2nd secret was also phenomenal. Unfortunately, however, the last two secrets seemed like a notable low point which feels unpleasant to slog through knowing that you need to get past it to keep progressing.
Either way, its pretty challenging but the difficulty curve means that its a game nearly anyone can pick up and play til they have trouble, then come back to later. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a gimmick needle game, but if you are a new player I'd probably stay out of the secrets (for the ones you find) until later in the game as they'll feel like a brutal difficulty spike.
