Pretty solid 3-stage adventure game with nice, distinct stages. The first one is by far the most interesting, featuring a creative number tied to the gimmick for each screen.
The bosses are a little up and down in terms of difficulty, but they all atleast have interesting ideas.
I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot if you like gimmick games - its not a must play but it is worth playing.

A very well polished needle collab which served as the blind race game (and released with a couple nice extras).
The production value is phenomenal for a needle game, both in the major aspects with the backgrounds and tilesets to the smaller details - something I definitely appreciate.
Needle-wise, unfortunately for me it really felt like it put its worst foot forward, which gave me some doubts about the whole thing, though the early game isn't bad by any means. It does however, get a lot better, which makes the weaker segments stand out in their own way, with their first two stages being the longest, the least interesting and for me, felt to be the hardest by a fair bit.
After that though, it picks up and quickly establishes a full identity for itself, serving as a variety packed array of interesting gimmick or themed screens that are way more engaging.
Definitely highly recommended, though certainly not without its flaws. If, like me, you aren't enjoying the early game but are interested in quirky gimmicks and more dynamic design I'd definitely recommend sticking to it because what comes after does become worth it.

So realistically speaking, this rating is completely meaningless.
I did not actually do any of the needle though I certainly watched and assessed it, Nal did the needle while I answered the math questions. Math questions you ask? Yeah, every screen has a math question at the end to progress, if you get it wrong you're doing the needle again.
This is intended to be a 12000 floor game (yea...) but this is v.01 and "only" has 100 floors. It has one song, basically, and instead of having other songs, it has a NANG style textbox where every now and then it just tells you about a song to go look it up yourself if you want I guess. Tileset changes every 5 floors keeps the visuals somewhat interesting, dipping into the vast jtool skins repository for basically all of them.
The needle is heavily 32px and looks kind of uninspired for the most part. Lots of repeated jumps, wildly inconsistent difficulty balancing and occasionally just tosses a super F or a tas-style drop at you out of nowhere. Compounded with the fact that there's tons of top of the screen platforming, with a NANG style textbox that occludes the top of the screen until you touch it, its upsetting at times. There's no real gimmicks or anything, just straight needle (some kill blocks and static fruit).
The math questions range from simple arithmetic, to moderate word puzzles, then just rolls with geometry for about 60 levels straight. The difficulty is hard to gauge, of course, because its subjective and depends on your knowledge set, but we probably spent a lot less time on the questions than on the needle in general. Is it because I'm better at math than Nal is at needle? Doubtful, but who knows! Expect to need to know a fair of trigonometry - probably above high school level, but not really into any deeper subjects than that (as in trigonometry is probably the most complicated subject that you will encounter). A lot of them seem ripped off the internet, so there's probably the chance you can look up answers with enough work but who knows.
All in all, its an interesting concept, but the needle is so repetitive and given its less than 1% of the advertised, it was getting harder a lot faster than it was getting more interesting, so its hard to say where it'd end up. Its hard to recommend this to about anyone, but if you like math and predominantly 32 px needle, this could be for you. Hopefully it gets more quality instead of simply quantity as it grows, but I didn't hate it.

A very solid classic trapventure game. There wasn't anything in this game that felt truly exceptional, but it did all the basics very well and was very enjoyable.
Production value was solid, clean and pleasant enough, though they were pretty simplistic and a little repetitive. Music was fitting and sfx were where they needed to be.
The platforming was very much what you'd expect, some minimal spikes built around a good variety of extra obstacles per stage and well paced traps. Likewise the bosses were straightforward enough, though the final avoidance was surprisingly simple and fun and felt balanced, which I'd consider an exception compared to how many avoidances in adventure games turn out (much harder than the rest of the game).
All in all, I liked it a fair bit, though parts felt a bit predictable. It is just a well built game that's enjoyable without trying to push anyone's limits.

For: I wanna be the Scenario

After a 5 year break, Azure is back with another classic adventure. Scenario is a story focused (with translation!) adventure game that's very much in his style, with short stages, many different mechanics and zany ideas and some distinct but short bosses scattered along the way. Packed full of variety and creativity, its a little rough in a few places but nothing hugely problematic. It feels a bit less polished and a bit less expansive than Farewell, but definitely doesn't disappoint. There are some slight tie-ins to farewell as well, so if you have played it, there's a little bit more to be gained though no prior knowledge is required.
The visuals and sounds are solid, they won't blow you away but they really keep the classic fangame feel while still feeling very fitting to every situation - and given how many different environments and places you'll visit, it works great.
Platforming wise, its got an insanely wide variety of gimmicks, with each stage being short and distinct in its use of them with a handful of traps scattered around to keep you on your toes. You'll need to expect to go through some learning as will happen as you adapt to new mechanics and weird tricks, but it all flows well enough that I never felt stuck. There's a ton of minigames (some of which are kind of questionable, and can take a bit of time) but they're mostly a lot of fun.
The bosses are mostly as you find in his games - they have very little hp, though they are quite fast and difficult, though attempts never take long. They also incorporate stage gimmicks generally and are always memorable and creative rather than a sprite chucking cherries. For better or for worse, the hardest part is always at the end, so expect them to ramp up fast.
Overall, it was a great adventure game, capturing a very old school feel while still feeling new and fresh. There's a couple bumps along the road but he definitely hasn't lost his style. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes adventure games, and if you wish fangames had more story, this is absolutely up there.
