It's a pretty debut Needle game with a lot of aesthetic value to it, I think the theme works especially well with the concept of Needle in general. Most of the saves in it are decent, there's a good bit of vine and jump refresher usage that is pretty fun to execute. I did however find a few saves to be completely unbalanced, such as one where you need to ride water down and through a gate, these really made the game quite a slog near the end of it.
It's decent so would say it's probably worth checking out if you want some Needle, would be interested in seeing this aesthetic concept expanded upon in the future.

Solid adventure game that has a good bit of variation set to really make your emotions go all over the place.
I thought the vast majority of it was pretty good and appreciated how it ranged from both funny to spooky in the aesthetics. One thing that did bother me a bit was some bosses freezed me in their room right as enemies started advancing, only unfreezing right at the correct moment, it made for a bit of an awkward start. The avoidance at the end is pretty solid, though you need to be prepared to change your windows clock since it utilizes your PC's time for an attack. Also, do note there is a quiz in japanese you should be prepared to look up answers for should you want to avoid the consequences of failure.
Would recommend, it was pretty fun.

For: I wanna be the Conscience
Conscience is an adventure game that managed to consistently disappoint me the entire playthrough. There are good ideas here, interesting obstacles, and varied aesthetics, yet all of it feels either superficial or tedious. It's a good representation of having a plan but failing to fully execute it, thus creating a half-baked mess.
First, let me start with one of my main issues, the music straight up gave me a headache. I don't normally get bothered by restarting music, but holy shit did the start of some of these songs sound terrible repeating their first notes over and over again. I believe this complaint is especially warranted considering there's one segment that actually does not have restarting music, meaning the developer picked what did and didn't intentionally as a design choice. I think this system is absolutely terrible, especially when the gameplay isn't exactly easy and will result in a lot of deaths.
Next, I found a lot of the platforming segments absolutely horrible, such as the Chain Chomp chase, the screen with a bunch of laser fuckery, and the part where you ride the Mario snake block through the baseball shooters. There are a lot of other distasteful segments as well, and nothing ever made up for them by being particularly fun. Added on to this are traps that are usually fine, but there are a load that just serve to make saves more tedious without being funny at all. Of all the stages, the last one especially sticks out like a sore thumb, it's basically just Needle involving moving spikes, spinning shurikens, and moving solids, and most of it doesn't actually play as fun as it might sound. (Once again I find myself asking why Medley makers always borrow from the most boring stages like this one). None of the game is like this at all, so it's pretty unusual and ruined the overall mood of the game in my eyes.
The bosses are a mixed bag, like half of them are fine but the other half just sucks. The final boss is particularly obnoxious due to how much it buffs itself in the second phase (upon reaching half health). A big problem with every boss is that they're mostly just 3-4 attacks that go on the whole fight, occasionally they'll just be buffed but still the same thing. None of them are actually entertaining because of this, they just end up being boring, which is one of the worst things a boss can be.
Overall, Conscience feels like a complete mess that I didn't really find any enjoyment in. It needed a lot more time in the oven to actually flesh out more, instead, it just feels like an unfinished product with minimal playtesting. Wouldn't recommend it.

For: WannaFest 22
Wannafest22 is what I believe is the most important release of 2022, even aside from the actual quality of the game it is by far the most technologically advanced production that pushes Gamemaker to a limit other fangames rarely try. I would not view this as a game that sets a higher standard and expect others to follow suit, an incredibly upper level of coding knowledge was necessary to make this that many others will never obtain, but I do think this stands as an artifact showing the furthest potential this community has to offer. This also stands as another strong example of how traditional Fangame gameplay is not required to make one good, instead only passion, creativity, and a focus on player enjoyment.
Wannafest at its core is a spectacle, in fact, I equate experiencing this game for the first time to something like Outer Wilds or The Beginner's Guide. The entire act of playing was an immense attack on the sensations of the player, always bringing about surprises and making you question what else could happen next. Just when you think the game has played its biggest playing card, you'll sit there and watch as Cherry Treehouse reveals it has an entirely new deck to use. Every instance of the game is prepared with special care, from the title screen to the pause button, music to visuals, cutscenes and credits, this is very much a passion project that could rival the intensity of any professional game. And while walking out I realize that I will never be able to experience it blind again, the gameplay is still made to encourage consecutive replays should you wish through the usage of achievements and additional modes.
Each stage brings about a new game for the player to discover, I would wager at least half of them you have probably never played. This creates an interesting situation in which not only did I appreciate the stages for what they are, they actually convinced me to play the games they reference. Now here's an important aspect as well, these are some of the most faithful "video game" stages in a Fangame you can find. They will absolutely woo the player with how specifically in tune they are with the original source, once again due to how this game barely has any traditional fangame gameplay at all. It is understandable that this fact may turn off fangame purists who play these specifically for the standard physics and style, but for those who enjoy these purely because they just want an enjoyable game, this is the Casterly Rock of Delfruit.
After playing this, I think the final truth that I can say about this game is that it's probably the easiest 10 rating I have ever given on the site. There is no hesitation in my mind when writing this that it was one of the most enjoyable times I have ever had in the community, and I hope others have the same feelings as I do in the future about this. This is truly a masterpiece that excels beyond what anyone expected and holds the highest recommendation I could possibly give.

This is truly an Adventure game that deserves a round of applause, I had an amazing time playing it and think it's one of the strongest starts to 2022 we could have gotten. It combines the style of 2 profound makers in such a harmonious way that by the end I realized they were easily one of the best pair-ups in the community.
Big Shot is an incredible journey through three separate stages, each with its own theme, mechanics, and a boss fight. Each stage is such a visual masterpiece, making this one of the most aesthetically pleasing adventure games there are. The platforming also is pretty damn good for the first two stages, while the third takes it to an even higher plane of enlightenment. The various mechanics throughout the game, such as climbable vines and falling stalactites, help add a wonderful layer of depth to the gameplay as well, and all feel smooth and fluid to play once you learn what to do. It's worth noting that the difficulty increases with each stage, I'd say the first starts in the mid-40s while the final stage reaches almost to a 60, so be wary of that especially if you dislike learn-y saves.
This was truly a treat to play finally, it's definitely one of the most memorable games to come out this year. I really hope that Echo and Erik decide to partner up in the future again, as I think their combination of skills has truly created something magical. They're definitely big shots after making this one.
